Don Gould of Shorewood said he will run for re-election to the Will County Board next year.
Gould, an attorney in Will County for 22 years, led the board’s once-in-a-decade redistricting effort this summer. He is also chairman of the Will County Public Health and Safety Committee and vice president of the Will County Forest Preserve District.
“I’m very honored to lead these committees and appreciate the confidence that members on both sides of the aisle have placed in me,” Gould said.
The Republican will run to represent Will County’s newly defined 6th District. The board’s redistricting plan allows each district just two members, though. Incumbent board members Sharon May, D-Channahon, and Deborah Rozak, R-Wilmington, also live in the new 6th District.
