Is the word “economy” placed just before the phrase “raising taxes” in the dictionary?

Rapper Nicki Minaj is garbage, pure trash. She’s clearly a gimmick with poor taste and low class. How can she evaluate talent on the TV show “American Idol” when she has none herself?

Illinois lawmakers are not content with putting our generation into a billion-dollar debt. Now they want to reward illegal immigrants with driver’s licenses. This is stupid. Why would anyone want to reward illegal immigrants with a deadly weapon called an automobile and put them on our streets and highways? Illinois politicians are flouting the law. It’s a disgrace to all of us.
Police were called to a Hebron, Ind., home many times for a dog barking early and late. Well, the barking dog is dead. It was killed by a bear trap in the dog’s own back yard. This is a tragedy, but the real bad guys are the people who leave their barking dog out after neighbors complain and call the police. The dog killers should be prosecuted, but why not just let your barking dog in? There are barking dogs all over the United States. We should not be killing them.

Is Barbra Streisand surrounded by just “yes” people afraid to tell her the truth? Hey, lady, when you hit a certain age, you are too old to wear your hair like when you were in your 20s, She is 70 years old. Also, wear some makeup: eye shadow, eyebrow makeup, blush, lipstick or gloss. I’m sure she has had work done so highlight it. These divas either wear rose-colored glasses or need glasses but don’t wear them. She was on television hyping her movie “The Guilt Trip” and she looked like a train wreck. I can’t believe these old biddies.
The “CMA Country Christmas” show hosted by Jennifer Nettles was one of the best shows of television this season. We actually watched it three times. They sang some of the most beautiful carols. We need more shows like that.
People ask, “Where’s God?” when bad things happen in schools. Schools (government-controlled as in public, for example) in America have persistently over the past pushed God out. Perhaps God figures, “If I’m not wanted around, then I won’t be around.” Hence, an evil ill force arrives and then bad things happen.
About scam email: For your information, I received an interesting email telling me I have a parcel that was undeliverable. The problem is: How did they get my email address since I didn’t order anything? The spelling of simple words is incorrect and the use of our English language is grammatically wrong. I deleted this phishing scam and want to let Speak Out readers know to please be careful. Merry Christmas and happy new year to all.
I am tired of hearing how everyone using the Link card or the Women, Infants, and Children program is poor. Baloney! Any woman who has one kid after another with loser fathers should have the kids raised in an orphanage. If she is poor, it’s her choice. But with all the freebies and a job, they’re not poor. Many are better off than you or I. It’s time to stop the free gravy train that millions of women and whole families are on. Men also need to stop breeding kids they don’t support. Many of these people are gangbangers, too.
We need two things to fix Congress. One is lobbyists should not be allowed to donate to any political candidate. Two would be term limits. Senators should only get two terms and state representatives should only get four terms.

Regarding school safety: After the shooting tragedy in Connecticut, there have been all kinds of ideas being thrown around. I think the simple act of parking an unused squad car in front schools would deter these cowards. They probably wouldn’t take the chance if they thought someone would shoot back. Have the principal or someone move the car or have an officer stop by and switch cars just in case someone was checking. I know it’s not a perfect solution, but it might have saved those people at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Governors and state representatives come and go, but Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan is the fixture that is responsible for the state’s fiscal mess. State and county workers canvass the neighborhoods year after year getting out the vote for Madigan. When Madigan retires he will walk away a multimillionaire from all the sweetheart deals his law firm has made on property tax relief for corporations and developers. Who will be left holding the bag? Taxpayers and the same workers who get him elected. Madigan’s only mistake is he was hoping to be gone before the pension crisis hit the fan.

Wedding dates are optional, but we can’t pick our birthday. Happy birthday, Austin.
At a Christmas Eve church service at 3 p.m. a gentleman unknowingly started to enter a pew that was reserved. He was made aware of the sign on the pew by a person who loudly said to him, “These seats are reserved. Can’t you read?” To this man I would like to apologize for her actions. Not only was that remark not typical of St. Julie Billiart parishioners, but it was not even Christian. Also, I was not aware that we were able to bring “reserved” signs to church to save seats. It must be something new.
