The federal government now wants to force soda producers to reduce the amount of sugar in their drinks because such drinks contribute to obesity and diabetes in America.
How far can the government go in controlling its citizens? This explodes my sweet nature into maddening rage. We should be able to choose what we eat and drink as long as it doesn’t interfere with the rights of others.
Where does it stop? Prohibit coffee cakes, cookies, brownies, doughnuts, etc? The government should encourage healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle but not dictate such behavior.
