Forum: Thanks for food drive response

The National Association of Letter Carriers would like to thank all residents and business sponsors who helped in the May 12 Stamp Out Hunger drive in Oak Forest.
With the help of many volunteers, we collected 13,850 pounds of food for the St. Damian Parish Food Pantry, which will be able to supply food to more than 150 families in Oak Forest for at least three months.
We would like to acknowledge Felix Zaczek III from Valpak of Chicago South for the company’s generous donation of a “thank you” insert in the June issue so we could thank all those who donated to the food drive.
And great thanks, as in many years past, to Mike Ankola, of Foremost Liquors, who again was very generous, donating 2,000 pounds of food.
