President Obama wants Attorney General Eric Holder to investigate the serious national security leaks from the White House.
That is tantamount to the fox guarding the hen house, protecting the guilty in this controversy. Someone needs to do hard time in the big house because of compromising our national security.
What is needed is a special counsel, independent of the Justice Department, with no conflicts of interest whatsoever. The person best qualified to conduct such an inquiry is retiring U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald. There is no one better qualified at ferreting out wrongdoing.
