That Jeff Robertson (Forum, March 11) finds it appalling that someone would believe in the Bible’s account of creation is sad. But his contention that it’s a “scientific fact” that human beings evolved from lower life forms is even sadder.
I respect his right to hold such beliefs but would point out to him that evolution is a theory and not a fact. It is something that cannot be proved.
The second law of thermodynamics (not a theory) says that the whole universe is running down into complete disorder, which would contradict the evolutionist’s premise that the universe is evolving upward from an ancient particle.
Much of what is written in the Bible can be scientifically proved as fact, and nothing has been proved as false. I find it much easier to believe that man was created by God than to believe we occurred by accident.
Just look at the wonder of the eye or the miracle of birth or the beauty of a hummingbird. Accidental? I think not.
