On June 17, about 7:45 a.m., I was at the Dunkin’ Donuts in Homewood, enjoying my morning coffee and reading the newspaper, when a customer came in to let the manager know that a black car had been hit in the parking lot and the person took off.
To my surprise, it was my car. The customer and one of the shop’s employees were able to get the make of the car and the license plate of the vehicle that struck my car, which luckily had little damage.
Today, everyone seems too busy to care about others, but these concerned citizens showed me that there are still people willing to stop and give a helping hand. Thank you.
