“Sugar is sugar. Your body can’t tell the difference.” This statement from the Corn Refiners Association’s campaign to promote the consumption of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) has caused a lot of controversy on whether or not HFCS is safe.
Although there are some that promote HFCS, there has been a growing market for products that don’t contain HFCS. Many stores have gotten better with offering more organic foods, but choices are limited.
If grocery stores in the Chicago area would sell food without HFSC or if companies would not sell foods with chemicals, they would definitely get my business.
