Visiting a local restaurant on our 29th wedding anniversary, my husband and I decided to play a few dollars at the slot machine in the restaurant. I was happy when I won 16 “Fever” games, which at a casino boat means 16 free games.
After a couple of the games were played, we noticed that we were paying for them rather than getting them for free. The restaurant owner kindly checked on this for us. Imagine our surprise when we were informed the state of Illinois does not allow “free” games to be won at restaurants or bars, only at local casino boats.
This makes no sense. How can you “win” 16 games that you have to pay for? And this is not advertised unless you press the game-rules button on the machine. Once again, the public are losers.
