Please give Prince Harry a break. I’m sure he thought what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. He never expected this to be all over the news.
I was broadsided at a high rate of speed causing my vehicle to spin around several times and hit the concrete median. My seat belt saved me from what could have been much worse. The officer at the scene took my well-being as priority No. 1. I’d like to say, “Thank you to trooper Andrew Dykstra.” He should be the example for all to follow.

Bravo for reporting that some people don’t have the same opinion as Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Ald. Joe Moreno when it comes to Chick-fil-A. Not everyone in the media is reporting a liberal point of view. This is America. Soldiers died for the right to have free speech in the United States. I don’t have to believe what Emanuel does, nor what Moreno does. I’m entitled to voice my opinion. I don’t try to ram my beliefs down anyone’s throat like Emanuel and Moreno do.
I wish Speak Out had a “Like” button.

A Speak Out commenter stated that Orland Park’s dog park is for animals to play in, not to relieve themselves. What are you going to do? Are you going to give them all diapers on the way in?
Why is everyone all over Jenny McCarthy because she wrote a little article about being blessed and returning home? So she’s a hottie, from Los Angeles and is a Playboy celebrity. So what! She’s raising an autistic child and saying she’s happy to be home, so good for her. I’m not sure why that upsets so many of you.

I have no idea what Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s plans are to create jobs and get people back to work right now. But from what I see from President Obama, I don’t think he has any plan except to allow more foreigners into America to take the few jobs that are out there.
People who have the Link card, for the most part, need them. I’m sure there are some people who are cheating, but it’s probably a smaller percentage than you think. We should not get too hung up on this issue.
The Rev. Jesse Jackson and the Rev. Michael Pfleger like to blame a gun shop for all of these guns on the streets and shootings. Maybe it’s the church’s fault because they cannot instill morals and values.
The people over at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County really know what they are doing. People ought to give them a chance instead of cutting them down like a lot of people do. I’d like to say, “Thank you,” to them.

You will never run out of the rich by taxing them. The Forbes list is growing. The rich are giving jobs overseas and getting richer. The middle class is smaller and providing for the poor. Give the jobs back to the middle class.

Youth is wasted on the young.
Why do Chicago politicians seem to find a way to find money when it’s advantageous to them? When the money is for the people, they seem to look the other way.

Researchers are finding more and more good news for drinking coffee. The latest is about helping with Parkinson’s disease. What will help you when you are up all night drinking the recommended amount of coffee?
This Republican Party has me sick to my stomach. I can’t understand where they are coming from. They are not explaining what they are going to do. All they are doing is bashing. I’m fed up.
I constantly get emails from all over the world telling me of my inheritance, lottery winnings, bounty rewards and such. You would think, by now, that the idiots sending this stuff out would realize that the world knows that these scams are everywhere and should be ignored. On second thought, there are probably even bigger idiots who continue to think this stuff is for real. Keep in mind this quote: “Let us be thankful for the fools. But for them the rest of us would not succeed.”
The school year is just beginning. Every year, no matter what, the children throw their garbage on the lawns as they go home. I’m sure this is not only happening to me in Glenwood, but in other places also. What is wrong with children and teenagers, and even adults, who cannot pick up after themselves?
To the person who wrote about the person dumping his lawn clippings in a farmers field. Take his picture and report him. If that is not possible, when he is cutting his grass go get the farmer and bring him to your house so he can see or call the police.
Are U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk and U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. still collecting their paychecks even though they’re too sick to work?

Why, why, why are the gasoline prices 20 to 30 cents higher here in Cook County than around the United States? Oh, I forgot. It’s Crook County.
It’s a shame that we’re always so plugged in — having to text, Tweet and Facebook wherever we go. It’s important to find time to disconnect from technology and reconnect with the important people in our lives. Silly as it may sound to some, we should stop and smell the roses every chance we can get.
