How can the iPhone 5 increase our gross domestic product? The last time I checked, the phone was made in China.

People, people, at least drive the posted speed limit. When it says 45 mph, it doesn’t mean 35 to 40 mph. Also, a speed limit of 35 mph doesn’t mean 25 to 30 mph. And believe me that you can’t drive and talk on the phone at the same time. Nobody can.

What is the difference between a liberal Democrat and a conservative Republican? Both agree broccoli is good for you. The Republican will go to the store, buy it and take it home and eat it. The liberal Democrat will legislate that everyone must eat it, everyone must buy it and then they will tax it.

One kind of animal becoming a new kind is disputed, yet there are new species of animals originating from existing species. Lions and tigers are considered separate species, but they can interbreed. The result is not a lion or tiger but a new kind of species. Donkeys and horses also crossbreed. Logic says when something exists it’s because it was created. Everything came from something. Animals lay eggs or give birth. Seeds are planted to grow things. Materials are used to make things. So how can someone exist without a mother and just always have been here, with no beginning?
Could someone please tell me why the gasoline prices in Frankfort for the past week have been averaging $4.29 a gallon for regular, yet six miles down the road to the west in New Lenox during this same time period the prices have been averaging $4.10 a gallon for regular? Has any of Frankfort’s tax-paid officials bothered to ask this question or do any research concerning this, or do the Frankfort officials consider it beneath them to worry about a mere 19 cents-a-gallon difference?
It’s a shame what is going on in some of these neighborhoods. It has really become out of hand. I understand Chicago is short of police officers. Why don’t we bring our National Guard in to patrol some of these crime-heavy neighborhoods? It would help the Chicago Police Department and the entire city. Why aren’t they looking into this? It wouldn’t cost Chicago any money since the National Guard is overseen by the federal government.
In a Pop Quiz article in the SouthtownStar, Joe Kupcikevicius, a senior at Richards High School, said he would like to meet Al Capone because he was a “cool dude.” Obviously Joe doesn’t know a lot about gangster Al Capone. Capone was responsible for countless murders back in his day. Maybe Joe should do a little research on his “cool dude”

I wish Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel would stop trying to bully the teachers and everyone else. I would like him to become a man and do his job the right way. He can’t always have everything his own way. People are very fed up with him.

It’s with both sadness and madness combined to see our great country being stolen away from us by just one man and his liberal cohorts. If you don’t love America and what it stands for, then leave it. But don’t you dare attempt to transform it into a Marxist state. Not on my watch. I’ve served this great country and I would die for it too.
Jerry from Chicago Ridge
I, too, have something to say to the person who said Jesus said nothing about two men shacking up. If you haven’t already, when you do open a Bible pay special attention to Leviticus 20:13. Everyone, especially those in favor of gay marriage, should read this.

We all know there are some kids who need extra help. They should be identified and they should be taken care of. But if a parent can’t get their child a bowl of cereal and send them off to school, then something is not right. We provide people with food stamps or Link cards. If the parents can’t give their kids a basic breakfast it shouldn’t be the responsibility of the school system and the taxpayers. We’ll give you lunch. But breakfast? Come on!
A judge cannot comment that she opposes abortion, lest she later encounter a young lady’s case involving such strife, albeit free speech. A doctor cannot say his patient has no chance of living, although he’s constitutionally protected. A lawyer cannot say his client is a criminal, although it may be true. And a high school teacher, coach and guidance counselor cannot express his personal opinions of different vaginal types, although he may constitutionally protected. To the Rich Township High School District 227 board: What is there to deliberate when it comes to Bryan Craig and his book “It’s Her Fault”?

Though I believe that justice should be served, after watching the news and seeing and hearing the jurors who served on the Drew Peterson trial, I cannot believe that justice was served in the murder case of Kathleen Savio. If these are the type of people who decide a person’s fate, then heaven help us all. The future of the United States and the judicial system is in grave danger.

A Speak Out commenter suggested that we amend the Constitution so Bill Clinton can serve a third term as president because we need an old pro who knows politics. Does that mean we have to rehire White House intern Monica Lewinsky as well?
