They should punish the perpetrators of the Boston Marathon bombing as much as possible. Just put an end to it. A few people are scaring thousands of people. This is ridiculous.
Thank you to the lady in the red van in front of me at the Tinley Park McDonald’s drive-through for paying for my breakfast. You made my day. I’m sure you are a Tinley Park resident because you’re the greatest. You can bet I plan on paying it forward.
Politicians are really reaching. They have exploited our lack of a right to privacy. They bother us at home, staple campaign materials to trees and send junk mail to each registered voter in the home. Recently a local group disseminated information to all homes in my neighborhood regarding which neighbors failed to vote, presumably to shame them into voting. This cowardly group neglected to include a return address. While it may be considered a civic duty, voting is voluntary. Until politicians respect my home and neighborhood, I am electing not to vote.
After that huge pet food recall, I watch labels. There are still some American-made brands. Look for the flag. It’s modern technology that is ruining America.
The greatest thing about the United States is also its greatest weakness. The United States is an open society. That is why it is the greatest country on Earth. We have many friends and also many enemies. There are a million targets in the United States and our enemies will always try to take advantage of our society. Hopefully we can combat most of these attempts against us. God bless America.
I think socialism and communism are like carbon monoxide. By the time you realize you have it, it’s too late.
I want to know why Chicago Cubs owner Tom Ricketts caved to the rooftop club owners.
The only reason the death penalty was removed was so former Gov. George Ryan could make a name for himself. Illinois did not put a bunch of innocent people to death.

Frankfort is an excellent community to live in and raise a family because of the work and effort of two people. They are Mayor Jim Holland and Frankfort Township Assessor Joseph Kral. These men have built their organizations by bringing in excellent staff members like village administrator Jerald Ducay and those in the assessor’s office. I’m glad the residents of Frankfort re-elected these two civil servants. Our vote will help Holland and Kral continue with their outstanding performance.

So many love to complain in Speak Out about President Obama. One person even said they liked him as a person, but not his policies. What policies are you referring to? Be specific please.
Someone commented about all the nice things her Catholic parish does for the poor. I know there are many Catholic charities that do great things. What has bothered me this past year has been all the controversy created by Catholic bishops regarding the birth control requirement in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Why all the focus on birth control and no focus on the millions of uninsured people in the United States? Why do some Catholics support political candidates that want to cut programs for the poor? If you are pro-life, you should be pro-health care for all.
Parents are complaining about how their uncontrollable kids are being handled in school. While some of the methods seem pretty scary, how much time should be spent by the teacher on one child? While the teacher is trying to control one, the rest of the children suffer. Maybe we need to go back to separate classes for uncontrollable or special kids. It’s ridiculous that one child can hold hostage an entire class.
I think all the problems we are having with Korea belong to President Harry Truman. He should have let Gen. Douglas MacArthur fight the war. Then we would not have the problems we are having now with Korea.
A Speak Out commenter complained about a girl she knows who hates kids but kept them for the benefits from the government. This lady is just as guilty as anybody else. Doesn’t she have a phone? Can’t she report that person? If that person is reported then those kids will be taken away and she will not get any money from the government.
I’m really angered that the media continues to exploit with their anti-Catholic journalism regarding the pedophile priest situation. It is a reprehensible action, but I believe the percentage of priests involved is very low. I would like to request that journalists research the pedophile occurrence among rabbis and other ministers and give the same coverage that they give the Catholic Church.
If you can’t control the gangs that are going through Chicago with all of the violence, then how are you going to control a terrorist coming into the city and doing something? Is there a new strategy that you have? Your strategy with these gangs doesn’t work. I’d like to know the strategy that you have to protect the citizens of Chicago. Or are you reaching for ideas because you still haven’t found a solution for the gangs? You sure found a solution to close schools.
I’m calling to report in to the Link card police. I am a recipient of a Link card. I get $21 per month. I don’t know how I can ever thank you for that. Tell me how you would live on 70 cents per day. Some people’s Link card situation is not how you think it is.
