According to the Chicago Cubs, Wrigley Field, which was built in 1914, is the second-oldest ballpark in the major leagues behind the Boston Red Sox's Fenway Park, which opened in 1912. | File photo

To the Chicago Cub fans: Here’s my question. Why do you continue to flock to Wrigley Field to watch such a lousy baseball team?
My husband and I take a walk around the middle school every evening. I just don’t get the people who let their dog poop and leave it all over the sidewalk. The children will be returning to school soon. Please pick up after your dog. Honestly!
I have rode on Metra trains. I used to live in suburban Cook County. I am willing to donate to a campaign fund. Therefore, I am extremely qualified for Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle to appoint me to the Metra Board representing suburban Cook County.

Regarding the Safe Passage routes in Chicago. Are we going back to the pioneer days? I realize this has to be done because those areas are so dangerous that one cannot walk down the street safely, and especially so for children. However, stop blaming everyone else because you live in a gangbanger area. Only you can clean it up yourselves with the help of the Chicago Police, one gangbanger at a time. It’s pretty much like “it is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness.” Good luck.

I recently went to a department store to get an outfit. I took my clothes to the “womans dressing room.” A man came in and out carrying clothes for a lady to try on. He stood there with the door open watching her trying the clothes on. Outside and standing in the shopping cart was a young child left alone. The young lady at the counter was apologetic when I informed her. She said she would tell her manager but unfortunately they couldn’t do or say anything to the man as it might cause a lawsuit against the company. What?

They asked, “How does my belief that marriage is between a man and a woman make me a homophobe?” It’s like the idea that Caucasians shouldn’t “mix the two races.” Pushing the conservative Christian agenda on Americans risks their livelihood. Civil unions don’t provide all the benefits that legal marriages have, and it costs more to keep this “alternate” option. For example, if I were to buy one car that I plan to keep for the rest of my life and it had no brakes, do you think I would buy that car and “Flintstone” it to and from work?
So what if Tom Skilling from WGN-TV (Channel 9) says “uh” a bunch of times. He is a true meteorologist and knows what he is talking about. He doesn’t need a teleprompter. All these others do is read from the teleprompter and couldn’t tell a snowflake from a raindrop.

We heard President Obama say on TV that he is going to start working on creating jobs for people. Where has he been for the last five years?
I think the Chicago White Sox should bring up all of their promising players from their farm teams and give them some major league experience. This can’t hurt the White Sox because they are out of contention anyway.
Regarding disaster relief: Why is the U.S. federal government denying a request from Arizona for federal relief funds for the wildfire victims but so happy to give American money to Africa?
I am so sick and tired of the media and the professional agitators who keep bringing up race. This is all nonsense. We are all Americans. Forget this garbage. Tell these people who keep stirring up this garbage to find something else to do. I’m sick of it and I hope you are, too.
It’s nice to know that Chicago Bull Derrick Rose is now healthy. Trade him and get something for him.
The simple fact is that you are a believer or a nonbeliever. No one should attempt to dissuade either group. I am a believer so my only question to all those who say there is no God is I ask them to disprove that. The nonbelievers are always asking for proof and saying there is none. So prove it.

George Zimmerman was found not guilty of murdering Trayvon Martin. Can we move on now?
The Jacksons were very concerned about their children. They received the benefits of former Chicago Ald. Sandi Jackson’s tax evasion and former U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.’s stealing of $750,000 and the Washington, D.C., home and school system due to Jesse’s position. The people who they were not concerned about were their constituents.
I can’t believe how mad some people are about Ben Affleck playing Batman in the “Man of Steel” sequel “Batman vs. Superman.” Affleck is an Oscar winner and a great actor. Get over it!
So who do I report welfare abuse to? Please tell me. I do make a living wage for one person. When the welfare parasites stop cheating me and everyone else I’ll mind my own business. As long as it’s money out of my paycheck paying for a welfare cheat’s vacations, new car, college, fancy clothes and expensive food, then I’ll keep educating people about the billions wasted each year. It’s the business of every law-abiding American. Anyone who defends welfare abuse must be a cheater themselves. Pay your own bills, you bum. I have enough of my own.
