All pharmacies should ask for photo identification. Someone walked out with 120 Norco pills using my identity, which was stolen from a local hospital.

In searching on the Internet the term “substitute teacher jobs” with a south suburban ZIP code, almost 100 postings were listed at just one website. Substitute teaching jobs are out there. They may not be in your immediate neighborhood or where you’d like to be, but subbing will give you some of the best experience and a chance to demonstrate your skills and work ethic, which can lead to finding a permanent position.
The United States has become an embarrassment at the hands of our politicians and their childlike behavior. If we stop the Obamacare, tea party and whatever else bashing and unite to overhaul politics in this country, it is the only way things are going to change. Nearly 16 years of President Bush and President Obama have divided this country. We are an embarrassment around the world. Education, violence and poverty issues are obscene. We shouldn’t change our laws for people who come from other countries. Can we turn this country back into the great country it was meant to be?
I wish the Burbank Police Department would write tickets to people violating the do-not-walk intersection sign at State Road and Mayfield Avenue. I find that at times it’s almost impossible to enter or exit Mayfield Avenue.
I will not be around for it but I would love to see what the history books are going to say about President Obama and America. Hopefully there will be some changes so the books will not be about this country’s biggest screwup aka Obamacare.
I’m also from the same generation of schools that had 48 kids per classroom, and I do know why teachers now are complaining. If you don’t, you obviously have never volunteered in a classroom or taught. I volunteered regularly at my children’s elementary and middle schools for 10 years. When I was a Chicago Public Schools student in the late 1960s and early ’70s, the 40-plus kids in class sat at their desks, paid attention and did the work. Special needs kids went to other schools. You feared your parents if the teacher ever called home or sent a letter.
If celebrity Miley Cyrus was my child I’d be ashamed of her. While she can sing, she feels the need to portray herself as trash to get attention. She parades around mostly naked, negating that she has talent. She must have low self-esteem since she tries so hard to get attention and approval. Her insecurities lead her to behave promiscuously. Unfortunately her handlers feed this madness. I wonder how long it’ll be before she snaps like singer Britney Spears. Any parent who allows her kid to listen to Cyrus’ music is a fool. By allowing it, you’re approving of her.
The wrong people will go to jail for the Crestwood water scandal. The real people at fault are who should be in jail.

We don’t need any more red-light cameras in Oak Lawn. What we need is to have the police pull over bad drivers like tailgaters, people who are texting, people who have high-beam lights on their vehicles and others like this.

I think the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission’s public meetings about a proposed Illiana tollway are as faulty as the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning’s meetings. A report focusing on how the Illiana Expressway would be financed was expected to be completed around Nov. 9. This is after they already had two hearings. An outline about how the tollway conforms or fails to conform with plans should be completed around Nov. 16. This report will miss the first three hearings. So much for respecting the concerns and the will of the public! Please express your concerns.
I used to work in retail and I know that it isn’t at times, but the last few stores I have been at I noticed the employees’ attitudes weren’t very good. Most of them were either walking around the store chatting with other employees or got an attitude with me when I asked a question. If these stores still want business I suggest they train their employees to have better attitudes.
Who has been tucking slips of paper that contain the phrase “Impeach Obama” into his portrait in the Charles A. Halleck Federal Building in LaFayette, Ind.? If this is not idiotic, I don’t know what is. On what grounds? Just remember during the President Bush years that if you dared to say or do anything of this disregard of your president of the United States, you were considered a traitor and unpatriotic. It’s a shame.
