Here’s a look at What’s Going On in the Southland including in Palos Hills, Park Forest and Frankfort.
Village to host 5K Walk/Run
Frankfort will host a 5K Run/Walk from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Breidert Green, Oak and Kansas streets.
Awards will be given to top race finishers in each age category. Advance registration is $15, and race day registration is $20. Registration forms are available at the village’s administration office, 432 W. Nebraska St., Frankfort.

Museum decorated for Halloween
The 1950s Park Forest House Museum, 141 Forest Blvd., is adorned with vintage Halloween decorations through Oct. 31. Display items include a collection of Gurley Halloween candles, die-cut decorations and a boxed costume with a mask.
The museum is open from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays, or for groups by appointment. Admission is $5 for adults and free for children age 12 and younger with an adult.

College to host ‘American Songbook’
The Moraine Chorale and Chamber Singers will perform “The Great American Songbook” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Dorothy Menker Theater at Moraine Valley Community College, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills.
The concert will feature the music of Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern and Cole Porter. Tickets are $12 adults and $10 for seniors and students.
