Kametas is the ace of the Spartans pitching staff. When he isn’t toeing the rubber, the senior will be manning the hot corner. He’ll attend St. Joseph’s College in the fall.

State title game. You’re in it. Which team would you most like to beat for the championship? Why?

Mount Carmel. We lost to them last year.

What’s your favorite visiting high school field to play at?

Richards. It’s a very nice field. It’s like a second home for us.

You’re stranded on a deserted island. You could have an endless supply of one food. What would it be?

My mom’s lasagna.

What’s in your iPod?

Mostly country. Blake Shelton, Rodney Atkins and Taylor Swift.

What celebrity would you choose as your prom date?

Kate Upton.

What’s your favorite baseball movie?

“The Sandlot”.

Cubs or White Sox fan?

Cubs.

How many games will the Cubs win this season?

Eighty-five.

What do you love most about the game?

Pitching. You’re in full control of the game.

Should Roger Clemens be elected into the Hall of Fame?

Yes. It was an era (steroids) and he was a great pitcher.

Given the chance, what person, dead or alive, would you most like to meet? Why?

Nolan Ryan. He was the best pitcher ever.
