Marousek, 17, is in her third season on the Mighty Macs varsity. She will attend Lander University (S.C.) in the fall.
What is it like to be a Mighty Mac?
Oh, it’s a good experience. Everyone is really welcoming there. It’s fun to be with all girls. You get to goof around more, be yourself.
What’s the most exciting moment you ever had on a softball field?
When I played good in front of my college coach and got a scholarship. I made a diving play up the middle and hit a double, so it was a very good day.
Do you like playing in front of people?
Yeah. I feel I perform better when there’s a bigger crowd. I like to try to impress people, I guess.
What hidden talent do you have that we don’t know about?
Gymnastics. Not many people know that I can do flips and stuff.
Your dream celebrity prom date?
Liam Hemsworth. He’s really good looking.
At school, do you go to other sporting events?
Sometimes. I like to go to the volleyball games. I go to the Marist-McAuley game every year.
What’s the first thing you look for in people when you meet them?
Their personality, if they’re fun, and not shy and boring.
If you could star in a cartoon show, which one would it be?
SpongeBob. It’s just fun.
How long does it take you to get ready for school in the morning?
(Laughing) Like, five minutes. I roll out of bed and brush my teeth. That’s about it.
When you look in the mirror, what does it tell you about yourself?
That I’m a funny, outgoing, dedicated person.
