FIRST TEAM

Cori Brennan

School: Lincoln-Way West

Year/Position: Senior/Forward

Numbers: 14 goals, 10 assists

Notable: IHSSCA All-State, All-SouthWest Suburban Red, two-time All-Area, set school records for career goals (71) and assists (32), signed with Carthage College (Wis.)

Coach Jeff Theiss: “Cori is an explosive and creative attacker who is always dangerous around the ball.”

Meghan Carmody

School: Sandburg

Year/Position: Senior/Forward

Numbers: 14 goals, 10 assists

Notable: IHSSCA All-Sectional, All-SouthWest Suburban Blue, signed with Lewis University

Coach Desi Vuillaume: “Meghan’s fast-paced style of play catches most teams off-guard and opens up a lot of offensive attack for our team.”

Lacey Clarida

School: Lockport

Year/Position: Junior/Forward

Numbers: 25 goals, 7 assists

Notable: IHSSCA All-State, All-SouthWest Suburban Blue, committed to Alabama

Coach Todd Elkei: “Lacey is truly a difference-maker. She scores with boot feet and is a force in the air.”

Kelly Fritz

Year/Position: Junior/Goalie

Numbers: 0.64 goals against average, 16 shutouts

Notable: IHSSCA All-State, All-South Suburban Blue, two-time All-Area, committed to UIC

Coach Rick Prangen: “Kelly is without a doubt the best keeper to come into my program in 20 years.”

Amber Huppert

School: Lincoln-Way North

Year/Position: Senior/Midfielder

Numbers: 7 goals, 5 assists

Coach Mike Murphy: “Amber is a workhorse. She’s not our most flashy player, but she’s our most consistent.”

Alexa Janus

Year/Position: Senior/Midfielder

Coach Chris Campos: “Alexa was voted MVP by her teammates for the third consecutive season. Her hard work and determination have been tremendous and is irreplaceable.”

Kim Jerantowski

Notable: 2013 Chicago Fire/SouthtownStar Player of the Year, IHSSCA All-State, South Suburban Blue Player of the Year, committed to Northwestern

Leigh LaRocco

Year/Position: Senior/Defender

Numbers: 1 goal, 1 assist, anchored a defense that posted 15 shutouts

Coach Mike Murphy: “Leigh is the best athlete on our team. She constantly marks the opponent’s most dangerous players and she is a major reason for our success.”

Morgan Manzke

Year/Position: Senior/Midfielder

Numbers: 20 goals, 7 assists

Notable: IHSSCA All-State, All-SouthWest Suburban Blue, three-time All-Area, signed with Valparaiso

Coach Desi Vuillaume: “Morgan is a very skilled, team-minded athlete who is going to be hard to replace.”

Emma Peele

School: Andrew

Year/Position: Senior/Defender

Numbers: 7 assists, anchored a defense that posted nine shutouts

Notable: IHSSCA All-State, All-SouthWest Suburban Red, two-time All-Area

Coach Loren Zolk: “Emma has been our starting center back for three seasons. She’s our team captain and is a fearless leader and player.”

Jenna Rivera

School: Tinley Park

Year/Position: Junior/Defender, Forward

Coach Paul Dorney: “Jenna has great vision and decision-making as a sweeper. When needed, she can move out of the back and be one of the deadliest forwards I’ve seen.”

Jazmin Aldape

Year/Position: Junior/Midfielder

Numbers: 12 goals, 14 assists

Notable: IHSSCA All-Sectional, All-Southland Conference

Coach Kelly Gutierrez: “Jazmin is the heart of our team. Almost every play starts with her.”

Jessica Bicek

School: Lincoln-Way East

Year/Position: Senior/Defender

Numbers: Anchored defense that posted nine shutouts

Notable: IHSSCA All-Sectional, All-SouthWest Suburban Blue

Coach Brian Papa: “Jessica was the key of keeping our team together. She was honored as our team MVP.”

Kim Boehm

School: Homewood-Flossmoor

Year/Position: Senior/Goalie

Numbers: 0.95 goals against average, 11 shutouts

Notable: IHSSCA All-Sectional Honorable Mention, All-SouthWest Suburban Blue

Coach Charlie Ward: “Kim made numerous saves throughout the year that caused all the players on the field to shake their heads in disbelief.”

Brynn Feeley

School: Lockport

Year/Position: Senior/Midfielder

Numbers: 4 goals, 5 assists

Notable: All-SouthWest Suburban Blue, scored three game-winning goals

Coach Todd Elkei: “Brynn worked her way back from ACL surgery last year to be one of our leaders on the field.”

Nina Izzo

School: Queen of Peace

Year/Position: Junior/Forward

Numbers: 25 goals

Notable: Two-time All-Area

Coach Julio Martinez: “Nina is a very dangerous forward. She’s always a threat to score.”

Carly Katalinic

School: Sandburg

Year/Position: Senior/Defender

Numbers: 2 goals, 7 assists, anchored a defense that posted 12 shutouts

Notable: All-SouthWest Suburban Blue

Coach Desi Vuillaume: “Carly has been a dependable defensive rock for us. Her tenacity and drive will be very much missed.”

Coach Nasser Shahtaji: “Hailey’s strongest quality is the way she creates scoring opportunities for herself. That’s a unique talent not too many players possess.”
