THE SKINNY

Visiting Bolingbrook struggled to find points in the first half, taking a 6-0 lead into halftime. The Raiders erupted for five touchdowns in the second half behind running backs Mike Valentine and Jaden Huff.

TURNING POINT

Valentine’s 23-yard touchdown run with 5:08 left in the third quarter keyed a high-scoring second half for Bolingbrook as it scored on every possession thereafter.

THE STARS

Valentine rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns. Huff ran for 115 yards, including a 62-yard touchdown. Despite completing just 3-of-12 pass attempts, Bolingbrook quarterback Dariel Greer managed to complete two touchdown passes.

BY THE NUMBERS

The first 24 minutes of play was slow for both teams as each struggled to move the football. The first half saw the Raiders finish with 73 yards of total offense to the Chargers’ 51 yards.

QUOTABLE

“We need to pick it up heading into next week, and it starts with (Saturday) in film.” – Valentine
