Orbert Davis, a Momence native, is a clinical associate professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
The documentary "DuSable to Obama: Chicago's Black Metropolis" takes viewers through a journey that includes Jean Baptiste DuSable, who many consider the founding father of Chicago.
"DuSable to Obama: Music from Chicago's Black Metropolis," which will be performed by the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble on March 10 in University Park, will include a look at President Barack Obama.
The trumpet will be a big part of "'DuSable to Obama: Music from Chicago's Black Metropolis," which will conclude Governors State University's 2012-13 season of the One More Night series.
