The final piece of the "Creatures of Light: Nature's Bioluminescence" at the Field Museum, takes visitors to the deep sea where a variety of creatures have been re-created including anglerfish, the stoplight loosejaw and the vampire squid.
In "Creatures of Light: Nature's Bioluminescence" at the Field Museum, visitors are introduced to the world of biofluorescence. For example, in the desert at night, one can turn a blacklight on and suddenly all the scorpions will scatter.
In "Creatures of Light: Nature's Bioluminescence" at the Field Museum, visitors are greeted by everyone's favorite insect, the lightning bug. A giant model and interactive display teaches how fireflies use their signals to communicate with each other.
