MLK Day of Hoops
LaSalle-Peru 63, Lincoln-Way West 53: Hayden Witt totaled 21 points and six rebounds to spark Lincoln-Way West (2-15). Brian Skowronski added 19 points for the Warriors at Joliet Central.
Metea Valley 96, Rich Central 88 (OT): Michael Kirk netted 30 points for Rich Central (6-11). Jalen Love added 13 points for the Olympians, Lance Cole had 12 and Jamaal Murray 11.
Martin Luther King Shootout
Kenwood 57, Marian Catholic 46: Tyler Ulis netted 25 points to lead Marian Catholic (9-6) at South Suburban College.
Girls Basketball
Illinois Lutheran 45, Donovan 36: Visiting Illinois Lutheran (3-12, 1-6) prevailed in the River Valley.
MLK Day of Hoops
T.F. North 64, Romeoville 56: Sharee Greenlee’s 27 points guided T.F. North (11-8) in the opener at Joliet West. Schenia Battle tacked on 12 points for the Meteors.
Metea Valley 40, Lockport 33: Nora Polaski scored 11 points to guide Lockport (5-11). Taylor Quain chipped in nine points and nine rebounds for the Porters.
Plainfield East 57, Sandburg 55: Kristen Bailey (14 points) and Ashley Youngwirth (13) were the leading scorers for Sandburg (11-10).
Joliet Central 63, Lincoln-Way West 56 (OT): Mandy Hozzian scored a game-high 28 points for Lincoln-Way West (8-9).
Sweet 16 Tournament
No. 3 Lincoln-Way East 58, New Trier 53: Caitlin McMahon netted 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for host Lincoln-Way East (14-1). Meaghan McMahon added 11 points for the Griffins and Amy Jacobsen had 10.
