Girls Basketball

T.F. North 68, No. 2 Hillcrest 63: Schenia Battle had 21 points and Sharee Greenlee tacked on 18 to guide host T.F. North (13-8, 9-0) in the South Suburban Blue. Shannise Heady had 22 points for Hillcrest (19-3, 9-1).

No. 8 Rich South 68, Bloom 60: Tierra Webb contributed 18 points and Kiela Garner added 14 to pace host Rich South (16-5, 6-1) in the Southland. Bria Gaines led Bloom (12-10, 3-5) with 38 points and 16 rebounds.

No. 10 Andrew 51, Bradley 45: Tiana Karopulos poured in 15 points for visiting Andrew (14-7, 8-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Morgan Park Academy 38, Maria 34: Melissa Bonner scored 12 points for host Morgan Park Academy (8-9).

Richards 60, Evergreen Park 37: Allison Stazak netted 13 points for host Richards (11-8, 5-4) in the South Suburban Red. Megan Beckow scored 17 points for Evergreen Park (4-17, 3-7).

Stagg 45, Thornton 28: Casey McMahon had 12 points to lead visiting Stagg (15-5, 9-1) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Sandburg 46, Joliet Central 37: Jen Pache scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lift host Sandburg (13-10, 6-4) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Lincoln-Way West 52, Thornwood 40: Mandy Hozzian and Alyssa Capecci each had 17 points for host Lincoln-Way West (10-11, 5-5) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Lincoln-Way North 66, Thornridge 29: Taylor Boardman finished with 14 points to lead visiting Lincoln-Way North (18-5, 8-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

T.F. South 64, Tinley Park 60: Kaitlin Togtman’s 19 points led host T.F. South (13-6, 9-0) in the South Suburban Blue. Diamond Beatty tossed in 28 points for Tinley Park (10-13, 6-4).

Rich East 52, Kankakee 41: Danielle King (25 points, 5 rebounds) starred for visiting Rich East in the Southland.

Gardner-South Wilmington 41, Illinois Lutheran 26: Cynthia Frazier had 16 points for host Illinois Lutheran (4-14, 2-9) in the River Valley.

Public League Windy City Tournament

No. 6 Morgan Park 96, South Shore 27: Kendyl Nunn totaled 15 points and 10 rebounds for host Morgan Park (16-7) in the first round.

King 32, Ag. Science 27: April Baar scored 10 points for visiting Ag. Science (14-6) in the opening round.

Sweet 16 Tournament

No. 1 Marist 62, Buffalo Grove 37: Leah Bolton (19 points) and JeTaun Rouse (13) led host Marist (23-1).

Girls Bowling

Tinley Park 1,746, Chicago Christian 1,480: Brianna Andrew, of Chicago Christian, had a 245 game and a 415 two-game series at Centennial Lanes. Caitlyn Abrand led Tinley Park with a 212 game and 370 series.

Lockport 3,217, Plainfield North 3,153: Lauren Troha’s three-game 596 series sparked Lockport at Strike N Spare II. Courtney Fowler added a 236 game and 594 series for the Porters.

Wrestling

Lemont 49, Shepard 19: Jake Latanski (126 pounds), Glen Malecki (132) and John Tomala (195) were among the winners for visiting Lemont in the South Suburban crossover.

Lincoln-Way Central 28, Lockport 28: Chris Attaway (152) and Ryan Gromnicki (195) prevailed for host Lincoln-Way Central, which won the SouthWest Suburban Blue dual on criteria. Austin Hosman (120) and Dylan Blankenship (220) posted wins for Lockport.

Boys Swimming

Shepard 147, Thornton Fractional co-op 31: Steve Martinez won the 50-yard freestyle (24.51 seconds) for host Shepard in the South Suburban crossover.

Lemont 110, Bremen 50: Joe Ziebell prevailed in the 100 breaststroke (1 minute, 14 seconds) for visiting Lemont in the South Suburban Blue.

Richards 110, Evergreen Park 67: Griffen Marth won the 200 individual medley (2:26.41) for host Richards in the South Suburban Red.

Homewood-Flossmoor 98, Andrew 87: Haden Santefort won the 100 butterfly (1:03.70) for host Homewood-Flossmoor in the SouthWest Suburban crossover.

Tinley Park 123, Oak Forest 57: Wins by Kevin Hesse in the 100 back (59.53) and 200 individual medley (2:19.42) sparked visiting Tinley Park in the South Suburban Blue.

Stagg 118, Lockport 68: Brandon Hadhazy set a pool record in winning the 200 individual medley (2:01.04) for host Stagg in the SouthWest Suburban crossover.

Men’s Volleyball

St. Xavier 21-25-25-25, Clarke (Iowa) 25-21-22-22: Jim Boyce had 26 assists and Justin Cousin added 16 kills for host St. Xavier (2-3, 2-3) in the Mid-America Men’s Volleyball Intercollegiate Conference.
