Boys Basketball

No. 10 Lemont 69, Oak Forest 62: Juozas Balciunas scored 29 points to pace host Lemont (18-2, 8-1) in the South Suburban Blue. Tim Loeding’s 18 points were the most for Oak Forest (10-9, 3-5).

Stagg 62, Bradley 41: Brett Kaiser poured in 18 points for visiting Stagg (11-8, 4-3) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Bremen 61, Bridgeview Universal 46: Cedric Clemons had 27 points and seven assists for host Bremen (4-16).

Riverside-Brookfield 66, Illiana Christian 60: Brandon Martin and Elijah Lares each scored 14 points for host Illiana Christian (9-10, 1-6) in the Metro Suburban.

Chicago Christian 57, Guerin 36: Michael Kamp scored 22 points for visiting Chicago Christian (8-14, 2-6) in the Suburban Christian Gold.

Girls Basketball

No. 8 Rich South 49, Champaign Centennial 47: Kiela Garner had 13 points, eight rebounds and six assists to lead visiting Rich South (17-5).

Stagg 64, T.F. North 56 (OT): Revi McMahon netted 20 points and Alexa Janus added 18 for host Stagg (16-5). Sabrina Montgomery contributed 23 points for T.F. North (13-9).

Bremen 57, Bridgeview Universal 24: Lindsey Dudek scored 16 points for host Bremen (4-18).

Immaculate Conception 53, Chicago Christian 36: Becky DeRuiter contributed 16 points for visiting Chicago Christian (6-15, 1-8) in the Suburban Christian Gold.

Bolingbrook 89, Lockport 32: Taylor Quain had nine points for visiting Lockport (5-17, 1-9) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Sweet 16 Tournament

No. 1 Marist 54, Maine South 41: JeTaun Rouse totaled 17 points and six steals for Marist (25-1) in the final session at Lake Zurich. Leah Bolton added 16 points for the RedHawks.

No. 3 Lincoln-Way East 54, St. Charles North 24: Taylor Johnson’s 18 points and six steals led Lincoln-Way East (20-3).

No. 5 Marian Catholic 83, Johnsburg 15: Alanna Ferry and Megan Walsh had 12 points apiece for Marian Catholic (16-10).

No. 1 Marist 55, Barrington 18: Leah Bolton (13 points) and JeTaun Rouse (12) were the leading scorers for Marist in the opening session.

No. 3 Lincoln-Way East 57, Buffalo Grove 38: Caitlin McMahon had 16 points and Taylor Johnson added 15 for Lincoln-Way East.

New Trier 58, No. 5 Marian Catholic 53: Alanna Ferry netted 16 points and Megan Walsh tacked on 12 for Marian Catholic.

Lake Zurich 45, Providence 44: Cassidy Glenn scored 23 points for Providence (12-13).

Girls Bowling

South Suburban Blue Meet: Bremen (5,383 series) topped Tinley Park (5,160) and T.F. North (5,129) for first place in the seven-team field at Oak Forest Bowl. Tinley Park’s Alyssa Spiess led all bowlers with a 1,210 series. Bremen teammates Kelly Lendi (1,155) and Analis Ramirez (1,148) were second and third, respectively.

South Suburban Red Meet: Sarah Klawitter (1,210) won first place in leading Evergreen Park (5,285) to the championship at Bleeker’s Bowl. Reavis (5,199) was second and Eisenhower (4,830) third among the seven squads. Shepard’s Destiny Miller (1,187) was second individually and Reavis’ Cori McVeagh (1,107) took third.

Dixon Invitational: Lockport (6,014) won the 24-team tournament thanks to individual runner-up Lauren Troha (1,297) and fifth-place finisher Megan Szczepanski (1,265).

Competitive Cheerleading

Joliet Central Sectional: Oak Forest (87.67) advanced to the state meet after winning the medium team division. Also moving on were Lemont (83), Tinley Park (82.83), Bremen (80.57) and Lincoln-Way West (80.40). Other squads qualifying on the state level were Lockport (87.90) and Thornwood (82.93), which were second in the large and coed divisions, respectively.

Men’s Basketball

Indiana-South Bend 70, St. Xavier 62: Brad Karp contributed 20 points and nine rebounds for visiting St. Xavier (16-6, 2-1) in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Men’s Volleyball

Saint Ambrose Triangular

Saint Ambrose 25-25-25, St. Xavier 17-19-14: Justin Cousin had six kills for St. Xavier (3-4, 2-3) in the Mid-America Men’s Volleyball Intercollegiate Conference.

St. Xavier 25-29-20-14-25, Grand View (Iowa) 21-27-25-25-13: Aaron Porter contributed 20 kills and 10 digs for St. Xavier in its first match of the day.

Women’s Basketball

St. Xavier 63, Indiana-South Bend 44: Morgan Stuut had 16 points and six assists for visiting St. Xavier (15-6, 2-1) in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
