Girls Basketball
No. 2 Hillcrest 65, Oak Forest 44: Shannise Heady scored 18 points and Samirah Ali added 14 points and six assists for host Hillcrest (21-3, 11-1) in the South Suburban Blue. Katie Swanson scored 13 points for Oak Forest (14-10, 8-3).
No. 3 Homewood-Flossmoor 44, Sandburg 34: Danielle Woolfolk had 10 points for visiting Homewood-Flossmoor (18-7, 9-3) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Ashley Youngwirth had nine points for Sandburg (13-12, 6-6).
No. 4 Lincoln-Way East 56, Lincoln-Way Central 16: Taylor Johnson totaled 15 points and five steals to pace host Lincoln-Way East (22-3, 10-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Caitlin McMahon tacked on 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Griffins. Lincoln-Way Central dropped to 12-11, 4-8.
Benet 62, No. 5 Marian Catholic 45: Megan Walsh contributed 10 points and seven rebounds for visiting Marian Catholic (16-11, 4-2) in the East Suburban Catholic.
No. 8 Rich South 63, Rich East 53: CiErra Garrett recorded 13 points and six steals to propel visiting Rich South (18-5, 7-1) in the Southland. Tierra Webb added 11 points for the Stars. Makeba Elliott and Danielle King had 18 points apiece for Rich East (14-9, 5-5).
No. 9 Stagg 47, Thornwood 45: Revi McMahon scored 12 points and Alexa Janus added 10 for host Stagg (18-5, 11-1) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Arielle Miree had 14 points for Thornwood.
No. 10 Rich Central 62, Kankakee 35: Ariel Sneed netted 26 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for visiting Rich Central (22-6, 9-1) in the Southland.
T.F. North 67, T.F. South 48: Schenia Battle (20 points) and Sharee Greenlee (17) powered visiting T.F. North (15-9, 11-0) in the South Suburban Blue. Kaitlin Togtman scored 15 points for T.F. South (14-7, 10-1).
Lincoln-Way North 41, Lincoln-Way West 27: Taylor Boardman had 15 points and eight rebounds for host Lincoln-Way North (20-5, 10-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Lincoln-Way West fell to 11-12, 6-6.
Bloom 49, Crete-Monee 33: Bria Gaines chalked up 34 points and 15 rebounds for host Bloom (13-10, 4-4) in the Southland. Ashley Henry’s 10 points were tops for Crete-Monee (9-15).
Joliet Central 47, Lockport 44: Taylor Quain had 17 points for host Lockport (5-19, 1-11) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.
Evergreen Park 50, Reavis 42: Megan Beckow (13 points) and Nina Orlowski (12) led host Evergreen Park (6-17, 5-7) in the South Suburban Red. Natalie Skolarus scored 19 points for Reavis (6-17, 2-10) and Stephanie Verduzco added 14.
Tinley Park 59, Lemont 46: Diamond Beatty poured in 23 points to lead visiting Tinley Park (11-13, 7-4) in the South Suburban Blue. Cristina Delvecchio added 17 points for the Titans. Courtney Toth led Lemont (7-18, 6-6) with 15 points.
Andrew 50, Thornridge 20: Bara’a Abusaoud scored 11 points to aid host Andrew (15-8, 8-3) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.
Beecher 60, Donovan 14: Visiting Beecher (20-6, 11-1) prevailed in the River Valley.
Boys Basketball
Illinois Lutheran 57, Heritage Christian (Ind.) 51: Mack Newson scored 21 points for visiting Illinois Lutheran (12-6).
Morgan Park 86, Brooks 52: Host Morgan Park (12-7, 6-2) rolled in the Public League Red-South.
