Brother Rice Regional

Eisenhower 25-25, Fenger 3-0: Andrew Andersen had 35 service points for Eisenhower (19-10) in the quarterfinal.

Shepard 25-25, Bridgeview Universal 0-0: Shepard (14-14) advanced to the semifinal via forfeit.

Lincoln-Way Central Regional

Illiana Christian 25-25, Corliss 6-8: Illiana Christian (23-10) posted the quarterfinal victory.

Homewood-Flossmoor 25-25, Thornton Fractional co-op 10-9: Homewood-Flossmoor captured a spot in the semifinal round.

Lockport Regional

Providence 25-25, Joliet West 23-16: Marty Ross had nine kills and five blocks for Providence in the quarterfinal.

Lincoln-Way West 25-25, Joliet Central 16-13: Lincoln-Way West (25-10) prevailed in quarterfinal action.

Marian Catholic Regional

Marian Catholic 25-25, Ag. Science 16-15: Matt Novosel had 17 assists and Will Craft added nine kills for Marian Catholic (11-14) in quarterfinal play.

Plainfield East Regional

Lemont 16-25-25, Plainfield Central 25-23-23: Lemont qualified for the semifinal.

Reavis Regional

Argo 25-25, North Lawndale 0-0: Argo won the quarterfinal by forfeit.

Sandburg Regional

Oak Lawn 25-25, Washington 8-12: Oak Lawn secured a place in the semifinal.

Oak Forest 25-25, Brooks 0-0: Oak Forest (15-14) captured the quarterfinal by forfeit.

Baseball

Joliet West 4, No. 6 Lemont 2: Tyler Jay knocked in both runs for visiting Lemont (22-9).

Lincoln-Way East 4, No. 9 Andrew 3: Tommy Fuessel’s two-run double sparked visiting Lincoln-Way East (20-12). Dan Durkin and Colin Mangin posted RBI for Andrew (25-10).

Class 3A Crete-Monee Regional

Rich East 16, Fenger 0: Darrius Gilbert (3-for-4, 4 runs) contributed a two-run homer and four RBI for host Rich East (14-15). Jason Douglas (3-for-4) added two runs for the Rockets in the five-inning quarterfinal.

Class 3A Oak Forest Regional

Rich South 13, Thornridge 10: Kyle Stancil (4-for-5) had three runs and three RBI for visiting Rich South (3-31) in the eight-inning quarterfinal.

Class 3A T.F. North Regional

T.F. North 8, Julian 1: Host T.F. North prevailed in the quarterfinal.

Class 4A Providence Regional

Eisenhower 8, Thornwood 3: Darrick Longoria hit a two-run single and finished with three RBI to lead host Eisenhower (7-25) in the quarterfinal. Longoria’s brother, Justin, gave up three hits and struck out four in pitching a complete game.

Class 4A Lincoln-Way Central Regional

Brooks co-op 3, Bloom 0: Host Bloom came up short in the quarterfinal.

Public League Consolation Playoffs

Washington 3, Ag. Science 0: Ryan Kull (4-1) tossed a four-hitter and struck out six for visiting Ag. Science (24-11-1) in its season finale.

Softball

Lemont 4, Montini 3: Rylie Jay (3-for-4, 2 triples) had a run and an RBI for host Lemont (24-9). Lauren Young allowed three hits in going the route for the Indians.

Stagg 19, Bremen 7: Steph Lorenz (3-for-4, 4 runs) and Jess Arebalo (2-for-5, 3 runs, 3 RBI) belted home runs for visiting Stagg (14-18) in the six-inning game. Sam Owens (3-for-5) tacked on four RBI for the Chargers.

Class 4A Andrew Regional

Thornwood 17, Eisenhower 7: Thornwood posted the quarterfinal victory in South Holland.

Class 4A Richards Regional

Bloom 9, Thornton 1: Host Bloom rolled in the quarterfinal.
