Updated: July 14, 2012 6:27AM

1. Marist (27-15): RedHawks are first Chicago team to win a state softball title.

2. Providence
(29-13): One more hit ... just one more hit. Celts still have much to be proud of.

3. Mother McAuley (22-16): Ashley
Rogers beat some of the best.

4. Richards (30-5): Stunning way to go out by one of the area’s most consistent teams.

5. Sandburg (21-16): Eagles soared, then crashed in wild
finish with Marist.

6. Andrew (30-6): Sandburg again denied T-Bolts
postseason fun.

7. Oak Forest
(21-13): One of Bengals’ best ever, Emily Naegele moves on.

8. Lockport (29-8): Taylor Weissenhofer helped Porters do better than o-K in 2012.

9. Lincoln-Way East (26-6): Sam Stewart should help Griffins have bright future.

10. Tinley Park
(24-11): Titans
turning the corner under Wendy
Podbielniak.
