Bloomington Invitational: Lockport (321) was eighth and Marian Catholic (354) tied for 19th in the 22-team meet at The Den at Fox Creek in Bloomington. Lockport was led by Gehrig Hollatz (77) and Luke Trent (78), who tied for 16th and 21st, respectively. Neil Doyle (82) had the lowest round for Marian. Lake Forest (298) captured the team crown, while Normal West’s Reid Turner secured medalist honors with a tournament record 6-under 66.
Bremen quadrangular: Medalist Dave Karwoski shot a 2-over 38 in leading Oak Forest (161) to victory at Cardinal Creek. Tinley Park (189) was second, followed by Bremen (190) and Hillcrest (239) in the South Suburban meet.
Chicago Christian 154, Immaculate Conception 207: Blaine Wright was the standout for Chicago Christian in its season debut, shooting a 1-over 36 to win medalist honors at Silver Lake’s North Course. Alek Svabek added a 37 for the Knights in the Suburban Christian dual.
Lincoln-Way North 153, Bloom 229: Medalist Drew Korosic fired a 2-over 37 in spearheading Lincoln-Way North at Longwood in Crete. Matt Juskie (38), Matt Williams (39) and John Orowick (39) also starred for the Phoenix.
Sandburg 194, Stagg 205: Stagg’s Taylor Lambertsen carded a 4-over 41 in winning medalist accolades in the season opener for both squads. Frankie Saban paced Sandburg with a 42 in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Silver Lake North.
Lincoln-Way East 172, Lincoln-Way West 210: Medalist Kelly Sterling posted a 2-under 34 to guide Lincoln-Way East in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Green Garden. Hannah Petraitis added a 43 for the Griffins and Katie Reno tacked on a 44. Alexis Biedrzycki (38) had the top score for Lincoln-Way West.
