Providence 1, Francis Parker 0 (SO): Marty Maloney contributed the decisive goal for Providence (1-0), which held a 6-5 edge in the penalty-kick shootout. Brian McNamee recorded the shutout for the Celtics in the contest at Bolingbrook.
Shepard 3, De La Salle 2: Tommy Eyer scored the winning goal for Shepard (2-0) in the match at Marian Catholic.
Bremen 1, Marian Catholic 0: Josue Carillo’s first-half goal was the difference for Bremen (1-0) in second match at Marian Catholic.
Marist 2, Joliet West 0: Goals by Billy Miller and Eric Cunningham propelled host Marist (1-0).
Lincoln-Way North 2, Mount Carmel 1 (2 OTs): Osvaldo Salazar had both goals for Lincoln-Way North (1-0) in the match at Marist.
Reavis 3, Lincoln Park 1: Danny Vallejo, Kamil Szczesniak and Jose Estrada netted goals for host Reavis (1-0).
Little Village 2, Argo 1 (SO): Luis Lezama scored in regulation for host Argo (0-1), which was outscored 8-7 in the shootout.
Andrew 3, Fenwick 2: Jesus Mendez notched a pair of goals for Andrew (1-0) in the opening match at St. Rita.
Homewood-Flossmoor 2, Thornton Fractional co-op 1 (SO): Nick Parker’s save enabled Homewood-Flossmoor to win the shootout 4-3. Andrew Lwanga scored in regulation and the penalty-kick phase for the host Vikings.
Bolingbrook 2, Bloom 0: Diego Gonzalez and Juan Ruiz combined to make six saves for visiting Bloom (0-1).
Eisenhower 1, Stagg 0 (SO): Visiting Eisenhower (1-0) held a 3-2 edge in the shootout. Panda Papadimitriou and Beto Torres scored in the penalty-kick round for Stagg (0-1-1). In the first match, St. Joseph nipped Thornton co-op 1-0.

Lincoln-Way East 1, Brother Rice 1: Mike Roth had the goal for visiting Lincoln-Way East in the season opener for both teams.
Girls Volleyball
T.F. South 27-25-25, No. 10 Lincoln-Way North 29-19-19: Abbe Mullen dished out 27 assists and Crystal Lee pounded 10 kills to guide host T.F. South in the season opener for both squads. Ashley Pickert posted eight kills for Lincoln-Way North.
Ag. Science 25-25, U-High 10-14: Carly Finley totaled 12 assists, six aces and five kills for host Ag. Science (1-0). Britney Nash added 11 assists and five kills for the Cyclones.
Oak Lawn 25-25, Mount Assisi 22-19: Rachel Kestian had 15 assists and eight digs to lead host Oak Lawn (1-0). Simona Tomczak (8 kills) and Olivia Lindner added 11 digs apiece for the Spartans. Kelly Magliano’s five kills were the most for Mount Assisi (0-1).
Evergreen Park 26-25, Queen of Peace 24-21: Chelsea Christopher registered five kills and seven digs for visiting Evergreen Park (1-0). Colleen Burns tacked on 13 digs for the Mustangs, while Sam Flores distributed 12 assists. Kathleen Miller (12 assists) and Sydney Shergen (10 digs) were among the standouts for Queen of Peace (0-1).
Morton 25-25, Argo 10-9: Amy Kinney had three kills for visiting Argo (0-1).
Chicago Christian 24-25-25, Shepard 26-18-14: Emily Workman finished with 31 assists, seven digs and five aces in leading visiting Chicago Christian (1-0). Emily Lindemulder and Jessica Krygsheld each chipped in 11 kills for the Knights. Shepard fell to 1-1.
Homewood-Flossmoor 25-25, Tinley Park 5-17: Kassie Wallace’s 13 assists paved the way for visiting Homewood-Flossmoor (1-0). Kaitlyn Shereyk had seven kills for the Vikings and Skylar Hildebrand added seven digs.
Illinois Lutheran 23-25-25, Crete-Monee 25-14-20: Angela Schrementi chalked up 17 assists and Janelle Heyn added 10 kills to pace host Illinois Lutheran (1-0).

Marian Catholic 162, St. Viator 172: Mike Millsaps carded a 1-over-par 38 for Marian Catholic (1-0, 1-0) in the East Suburban Catholic meet at Lincoln Oaks.
Eisenhower 183, Hillcrest 210: Medalist Nick Curta shot a 5-over 41 to pace Eisenhower in the South Suburban crossover at Coyote Run.
Oak Forest 154, Richards 165: Oak Forest teammates David Karwoski and Mitch Budil each shot 3-over 36 in sharing medalist honors at Stony Creek. Matt Kendryna had a team-best 37 for Richards in the South Suburban crossover.
Oak Lawn 176, T.F. South 182: Maggie Sloan, of T.F. South, led all golfers with a 5-over 37 in the South Suburban crossover. Matt Dunne had a 41 for Oak Lawn (4-0, 4-0) at Stony Creek.
Crete-Monee 168, Rich South 250: Crete-Monee’s Miles Bailey had the lowest round of the day with a 1-over 37 in the Southland dual at Deer Creek.
Lincoln-Way Central 147, Sandburg 151: Co-medalists Tony Kestel and Bryant Bolden shot even-par 35s to lead Lincoln-Way Central in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Silver Lake’s North Course.
Shepard 201, T.F. North 220: Dennis Minefee, of T.F. North, garnered medalist honors with a 40 in the South Suburban crossover at Gleneagles.
Rich Central 209, Rich East 215: Rich East’s Caleb Warner was the medalist by virtue of his 3-over 39 in the Southland competition at Deer Creek.

Lincoln-Way West 212, Homewood-Flossmoor 223: Medalist Alexis Biedrzycki shot a 37 to lift Lincoln-Way West in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at The Sanctuary.
Lincoln-Way East 178, Lincoln-Way North 189: Kelly Sterling, of Lincoln-Way East (2-0, 2-0), was the medalist with a 2-under 33 in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Ravisloe.

Reavis 4, Tinley Park 1: Kelley Grzych and Denna Zayed won at top-seeded singles for host Reavis (1-0, 1-0) in the South Suburban meet. Haley Wilcox (No. 1 singles) had the victory for Tinley Park (0-1, 0-1).
Hillcrest 3, Eisenhower 2: Erica Johnson and Paris Jackson (No. 1 doubles) sparked visiting Hillcrest (1-0, 1-0) in the South Suburban dual.
Lincoln-Way East 4, Joliet Catholic 3: Theresa Hanania and Julie Ruvoli posted a three-set win at No. 2 doubles for host Lincoln-Way East (1-0).
Mother McAuley 3, Trinity 2: Lauren March and Jamie Sweis captured a win at No. 1 doubles to aid visiting Mother McAuley (1-0, 1-0) in the GCAC meet.
Chicago Christian 3, Andrew 2: Raquel Hamstra and Megan Wise prevailed at No. 2 doubles for host Chicago Christian (1-0). Amanda Aronson won her match at No. 1 singles for Andrew (0-1).
