Richards 25-25, Thornwood 22-17: Bridget Ferrin dished out 11 assists and Cara Rockey added 10 digs to power host Richards (1-0). Melva Smith led Thornwood (0-1) with six kills and three blocks.
Reavis 25-18-25, Queen of Peace 21-25-23: Host Reavis (1-0) prevailed in the match-up between Burbank schools. Colleen Corbett had six kills for Queen of Peace (0-2).
Wheaton North Tournament: Jill Conrad had 27 service points, 12 assists and 11 kills as No. 7 Stagg (2-0) defeated Wheaton North 25-15, 25-18 and St. Joseph 25-10, 25-3. Stephanie Aimone’s 40 assists paced Andrew (2-0), which topped St. Viator 30-28, 24-26, 25-10 and Buffalo Grove 25-22, 25-21.
Boys Soccer
Richards 2, Morgan Park Academy 0: Goals by Luis Perez and Raul Renteria sparked visiting Richards (1-1). Sami Ahmed had both assists.
Chicago Christian 7, Westmont 1: Getenet Timmerman’s hat trick lifted host Chicago Christian (1-1).
Plainfield North 3, Illiana Christian 2: Rueben Huizenga scored both goals for visiting Illiana Christian (0-2).
River Valley/Southland Challenge
Crete-Monee 4, Grant Park 0: Jake Cogan netted two goals and Logan Kent made seven saves in leading host Crete-Monee (2-0) in the second-round tilt.
Beecher 9, Rich Central 0: Cody Wyatt contributed four goals and an assist for Beecher (2-0) in the second-round match at Crete-Monee.
Illinois Lutheran 3, Rich South 0: Justin Clayton racked up two goals and an assist for host Illinois Lutheran (2-0) in the second round. Rich East (1-1) routed St. Anne 7-2 in the other match at Illinois Lutheran.
Boys Golf
Chicago Christian 173, Tinley Park 199: Alek Svabek, of Chicago Christian, was the medalist after carding a 4-over 40 at Silver Lake’s North Course. Andy Ragan led Tinley Park with a 43.
St. Rita 171, De La Salle 181: Medalist Liam Walsh shot a 3-over 38 to lead St. Rita in the Catholic League dual at The Meadows.
Andrew 160, Richards 164: Andrew’s Bobby Peterson earned medalist accolades by posting a 3-over 35 at Stony Creek. Matt Kendryna (37) had the top score for Richards.
Lincoln-Way East 150, Bradley 162: Co-medalists Matt Contey and Jake White registered rounds of 36 for Lincoln-Way East in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Manteno Golf Club.
Bolingbrook triangular: Medalist Sean Knights finished with a 40 in guiding Lincoln-Way West (171) over Lincoln-Way North (174) and Bolingbrook (190) in the SouthWest Suburban meet at Bolingbrook Golf Club.

Mother McAuley 187, Fenwick 189: Mother McAuley teammates Carly Bettinardi and Katlyn Broderick registered 43s in the GCAC dual at The Meadows. Fenwick’s Liz Mavrogenes (41) was the medalist.
Lincoln-Way East 155, Bradley 217: Co-medalists Katie Reno and Kelly Sterling carded 37s to spearhead Lincoln-Way East in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Green Garden.
Sandburg 181, Lincoln-Way Central 210: Medalist Frankie Saban notched a 42 for Sandburg in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Silver Lake’s South Course.
Girls Tennis
Andrew 3, Marian Catholic 2: Allison Marren and Alyssa Krueger’s win at No. 3 doubles sparked Andrew (1-1) in Chicago Heights. Gaby Rosales, of Marian Catholic (0-1), prevailed at top-seeded singles.
