Bloom 36, Phillips 0: Kendall McGinnis ran for two scores and also hooked up with Zerrel Jackson on a 58-yard touchdown pass to lead host Bloom (2-1).
Glenbard South 38, Rich East 14: Jawaun Ward and Berwyn Causey contributed rushing touchdowns for host Rich East (1-2).
Ag. Science 28, University of Chicago Charter/Woodlawn 6: Ag. Science (2-1, 1-0) won the Public League Inter-City 4 game at Eckersall Stadium.
Boys Soccer
St. Laurence 0, Cristo Rey 0: Pedro Guzman made three saves for host St. Laurence (4-2-1).
Stagg 1, Lemont 1: Roy Delatore scored off an assist from Kyle Hamann to pace host Lemont (6-1-2). Dino Karas had the goal for Stagg (3-2-2).
Herscher 7, Illinois Lutheran 2: Justin Clayton had both goals for host Illinois Lutheran (8-2).
Lincoln-Way Invitational
Lincoln-Way Central 2, Marist 1: Goals by C.J. Zuraitis and Cole Senesac sparked host Lincoln-Way Central (6-2) in the final round of pool play. Michael Collevy scored for Marist (6-2-1).
Sandburg 1, Lincoln-Way West 0: Kevin Kroll scored in the second half for visiting Sandburg (4-2-2). Lincoln-Way West fell to 4-3-2.
Reavis 2, Plainfield South 0: Kamil Szczesniak’s goal and seven saves from Marcin Kobylarczyk propelled visiting Reavis (8-1).
Providence 4, Shepard 1: Ben Salvador scored twice to pace host Providence (6-2-1).
Bloom 3, Joliet West 2: Andres Pimentel’s two goals lifted host Bloom (6-3).
Lincoln-Way East 1, Eisenhower 0: Alan Hernandez had the goal for host Lincoln-Way East (4-1-3).
Girls Volleyball
Rich South Tournament: Lincoln-Way West (11-3) won all five of its matches, including a 25-23, 25-16 decision over Bloom in the championship of the 12-team invitational.
Girls Golf
Vernon Hills Invitational: Lemont’s Bridget Lynn shot an 82 in finishing sixth. As a team, the Indians (364) were seventh out of 18.
Girls Tennis
Joliet Catholic Invitational: Sisters Maggie and Kelly Ruane won the doubles championship in leading Providence (22) to first place in the eight-team field. T.F. South (12) was second and Joliet Catholic (10) third.
Joliet Township co-op Invitational: Carli Serpe won the title at No. 2 singles in helping Lemont (31 points) finish third in the eight-team meet won by Joliet Township co-op (37).
Oak Forest quadrangular: Ilona LaRoche won the championship at top-seeded singles as Oak Forest (20) finished second to Morton (21). Queen of Peace (8) and Rich South (3) also competed.
Reavis doubles quadrangular: Kelley Grzych and Ashley Galason won the title at No. 1 doubles in leading Reavis (132) to the team title. Nazareth (126) was second, followed by Marist (96) and Walther Lutheran (78).
Boys Cross Country
Reavis Invitational: Marist’s Kyle Hauser won the 3-mile race in 15 minutes, 57 seconds. The rest of the top five consisted of Brother Rice teammates Pat Maguire (16:04.9) and James Durkin (16:07.8), Sandburg’s Nicholas Prajka (16:17.5) and Brother Rice’s Anthony Maciag (16:26.9). Sandburg totaled 52 points in winning top honors in the 17-team field. Brother Rice (107) was second and Marist (119) took fourth.
Peoria Woodruff Invitational: Lincoln-Way Central (332) was ninth in the 42-team field in Class 3A. The Knights were led by Chris Kaminski (15:30), who finished 22nd in the 3-mile race. No team scores were available in Class 2A, where Lemont’s Aaron Oldanie (16:15) came in 53rd. Beecher’s Grant Nykaza (14:41) won the Class A race as the Bobcats (700) finished 27th in the 44-team field.
Joliet Township co-op Invitational: Luke Johnston (16:04.6) was ninth in guiding Lincoln-Way East (113) to a third-place finish at Channahon Community Park.
Girls Cross Country
Reavis Invitational: Marist’s Maggie O’Laughlin (18:39.3) bested teammate Julie Yaeger (19:15.5) for first place in the 3-mile contest. Shepard’s Lauren Loomis (19:20.2) was fourth and Mother McAuley’s Margaret Hurley (19:21.8) fifth. Lyons (41) edged Marist by 10 points for the team crown. Mother McAuley (81) was third among the 14 scoring squads.
Peoria Woodruff Invitational: Bianca Wiemeyer (18:39) was 36th in the Class 3A race for Lockport (224), which placed seventh out of 29. In Class 2A, Lemont (408) was 11th in the 46-team field. The Indians’ best runner was Jorie Dybcio (19:22), who came in 43rd. In Class A, Beecher (728) finished 27th out of 40 teams.
Joliet Township co-op Invitational: Lincoln-Way East (111) finished third at Channahon Community Park. The Griffins were led by Kaley McLawhorn (20:08.1), who was 17th.
Women’s Soccer
St. Xavier 3, Lawrence Tech (Mich.) 0: Morgan Graves scored all three goals for host St. Xavier (3-1-1).
