No. 4 Crete-Monee 37, Kankakee 6: Marcus Terrell was 16-of-22 passing for 216 yards and five touchdowns to lead host Crete-Monee (5-0) in its Southland opener. Two of the scoring tosses went to LaQuan Treadwell (10, 46 yards).
Bremen 48, T.F. North 2: Devonta Wilson (14 carries) ran for 178 yards and five touchdowns — including an 80-yard sprint — to spark host Bremen (4-1, 2-1) in the South Suburban Blue. Wilson also caught a 35-yard scoring pass from Tyler Banovich. T.F. North fell to 1-4, 0-3.
Benet 44, Marian Catholic 6: Troy Nutall had a 45-yard touchdown run for visiting Marian Catholic (0-5, 0-3) in the East Suburban Catholic game at Benedictine University.
Bishop McNamara 34, De La Salle 16: Jonathan Hope had 17 carries for 102 yards and two scores to lead host De La Salle (3-2, 0-1) in the Catholic League White.
Shepard 36, Eisenhower 22: Jimmy McClinton threw touchdown passes of 58 and 88 yards to Londell Lee in powering host Shepard (3-2, 2-0) in the South Suburban Red. McClinton finished 8-of-15 for 206 yards, while Lee totaled 170 yards on four receptions. Eisenhower dropped to 1-4, 1-1.
Andrew 49, Thornridge 0: Jarvion Franklin racked up 125 yards rushing and two touchdowns (40, 74 yards) to guide host Andrew (4-1, 3-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Jake Platt added two scoring passes and a TD run for the Thunderbolts. Thornridge is 0-5, 0-3.
Evergreen Park 47, Argo 12: Brandon White ran for three touchdowns (1, 4, 46 yards) and passed for another score in leading host Evergreen Park (3-2, 1-2) in the South Suburban Red. D’Ken Jones (3-yard run) and Hector Vazquez (9-yard reception) crossed the goal line for Argo (2-3, 0-3).
Bradley 47, Thornwood 13: P.J. Bolton had a 38-yard touchdown Gerald Stroman for visiting Thornwood (2-3, 1-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.
Thornton 45, Stagg 8: Thornton (4-1, 3-0) won the SouthWest Suburban Red contest in Palos Hills. Stagg is 1-4, 0-3.
Boys Golf
Don Nichols Invitational: Medalist Gehrig Hollatz shot a 71 in helping Lockport (307) capture a share of the title with Neuqua Valley at Wedgewood in Joliet. Lincoln-Way Central (308) was third, thanks to Tony Kestel (73), who finished one spot behind runner-up Trent Wallace (72) of Joliet Township co-op. Lincoln-Way East (317) came in fourth.
