Class AA Naperville North Regional: Stagg’s Taylor Lambertsen shot an 83 in qualifying for the sectional round. Lemont teammates Nadya Cortes (87) and Bridget Lynn (89) also advanced from the meet at Springbrook Golf Course in Naperville.
Class A Nazareth Regional: Mount Assisi (469) earned a sectional berth after coming in third at Willow Crest Golf Course in Oak Brook. Jesse Batsakis (100) had the top score for the Eagles, who finished behind Nazareth (397) and Regina (438). Queen of Peace’s Hyueonji Ku (113) and Southland Prep’s Samantha Higgins (116) were individual sectional qualifiers.
Class A St. Bede Regional: Beecher (442) qualified for the sectional round by finishing third at Spring Creek Golf Course in Spring Valley. Jessie Ackerman (103) was the top individual for the Ladycats, who were bested by Bishop McNamara (360) and Putnam County (416).
Ag. Science 27, Chicago International/Hawkins 8: Ag. Science (4-3, 3-2) won the Public League Inter-City 4 contest at Gately Stadium.
Marist 2, Nazareth 0: Mike Collevy and Brendan McHugh netted second-half goals for host Marist (13-4-3) in the East Suburban Catholic. Jimmy Kruse recorded his 10th shutout.
Lincoln-Way West 3, Peotone 0: Jared Simpkins notched his sixth shutout in pacing host Lincoln-Way West (11-5-3). Jason Yaeger and Erick Yspango were among the goal scorers for the Warriors.
Tinley Park 6, Wilmington 0: Bobby Neylon had two goals and an assist for Tinley Park (9-8-1).
Marian Central Catholic 25-23-25, No. 10 Chicago Christian 23-25-17: Visiting Chicago Christian (17-10, 3-4)came up short in the Suburban Christian Blue.
Illiana Christian 25-25, Fenton 18-12: Kylie Van Roekel and Tina Massey had six kills apiece for host Illiana Christian (16-14, 6-4) in the Metro Suburban.
Providence 5, Illiana Christian 2: Sisters Maggie and Kelly Ruane prevailed in doubles for visiting Providence.
