No. 1 Marist 21, Notre Dame 14: Jack Berry’s 35-yard fumble return for a touchdown was the difference for host Marist (7-0, 5-0) in the East Suburban Catholic. RedHawks quarterback Ian Woodworth added scoring tosses of 26 and 12 yards to Nic Weishar.

No. 4 Crete-Monee 44, Rich Central 14: Marcus Terrell threw two touchdown passes to Lance Lenoir (5, 21 yards) in lifting host Crete-Monee (7-0, 3-0) in the Southland. Darius Thomas added scoring runs of 11 and 10 yards for the Warriors. Rich Central (3-4, 1-3) received TDs from Ahmad McClellan (2-yard run) and Arthur Sutton (44-yard reception).

No. 5 Providence 38, Lake Forest Academy 10: Brandon Price’s 82-yard touchdown sprint propelled host Providence (6-1). Dominic Lagone added a 1-yard scoring sneak for the Celtics, along with TD tosses to Brandon Denler (11) and Cameron Brach (20).

No. 8 Oak Forest 49, T.F. North 6: Tom Zale threw a pair of touchdown passes to Tyler Usterbowski (6, 38 yards) to spark host Oak Forest (6-1, 3-1) in the South Suburban Blue. Zale also scored on a 4-yard carry, one of four rushing TDs for the Bengals. Nikita Smith caught an 8-yard TD pass for T.F. North (1-6, 0-4).

Lemont 42, Hillcrest 0: Chris Giatras had 11 carries for 164 yards and two touchdowns (62, 7 yards) to power visiting Lemont (6-1, 3-1) in the South Suburban Blue. Zach Brosseau (8-of-10, 125 yards) tacked on scoring passes of 30 and 9 yards to Drew Slee. Hillcrest is 0-7, 0-4.

St. Rita 35, Bishop McNamara 7: John Kelley had three touchdown passes – including a 52-yarder to Malik Space — to spark host St. Rita (4-3) in the Catholic League crossover. Tim Lombard tacked on a 37-yard scoring run for the Mustangs.

Brother Rice 28, De La Salle 6: Marcus Jones ran for three touchdowns in pacing host Brother Rice (4-3) in the Catholic League crossover. The Crusaders’ other score came on a 52-yard pass from Matt Paige to Chris Rozell.

Oak Lawn 23, Argo 6: Darius Smith (29 carries, 144 yards) scored twice – the highlight a 59-yard sprint – for visiting Oak Lawn (2-5, 2-3) in the South Suburban Red. D’Ken Jones reached the end zone on a 9-yard scamper for Argo (2-5, 0-5).

Homewood-Flossmoor 49, Joliet Central 0: Ronald Johnson was 8-of-9 passing for 164 yards and five touchdowns in guiding host Homewood-Flossmoor (5-2, 3-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Willie Ross crossed the goal line on receptions covering 5 and 14 yards.

St. Patrick 41, Marian Catholic 14: Troy Nutall had 23 carries for 132 yards and a touchdown for host Marian Catholic (1-6, 0-4) in the East Suburban Catholic.

Lincoln-Way North 42, Thornridge 6: Lincoln-Way North (4-3, 3-2) rolled to the SouthWest Suburban Red victory in Frankfort. Thornridge fell to 0-7, 0-5.

Walther Lutheran 48, Chicago Christian 40: Host Chicago Christian (2-5, 1-4) came up short in the Suburban Christian Gold.

Ag. Science 25-25, Northside Prep 15-18: Carly Trinley had nine kills for host Ag. Science (13-5) in the second round.
