Boys Soccer

Bremen 2, Oak Lawn 0: Goals by David Strom and Jesus Guzman propelled visiting Bremen (16-4-1, 9-1) in the South Suburban Red. Eric West (5 saves) notched his 13th shutout.

Bloom 4, Rich South 0: Osvaldo Sanchez netted a hat trick for visiting Bloom (17-3-1, 9-0) in the Southland.

Reavis 2, Lemont 1 (SO): Host Reavis (16-8, 8-3) held a 5-4 edge in the penalty-kick shootout as Jorge Martinez scored the deciding goal in the South Suburban crossover.

Sandburg 5, Joliet West 0: Zach Biel’s hat trick guided visiting Sandburg (13-5-3, 5-1) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Shepard 4, Evergreen Park 0: Tommy Eyer scored two goals – giving him a school-record 69 for his career – to lead host Shepard (10-10-1, 6-5) in the South Suburban Red.

Stagg 4, Andrew 0: Erick Estrada recorded his eighth shutout for host Stagg (10-6-2, 4-1) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Dino Karas and Matt Kois were among the goal scorers for the Chargers.

Lincoln-Way West 2, Lincoln-Way Central 0: Shane Varner scored twice and Tony Prospero earned his seventh shutout to lead host Lincoln-Way West (12-7-1, 4-1) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Lincoln-Way Central fell to 8-9-1, 1-4.

Tinley Park 4, Thornton Fractional co-op 1: Mikey Swierczewski had two goals for visiting Tinley Park (10-11-1, 3-6) in the South Suburban Blue.

Crete-Monee 4, Rich Central 1: Brandon Hickey contributed a goal and an assist to aid host Crete-Monee (14-5-1, 7-3) in the Southland.

Class 1A Chicago Christian Regional

Illiana Christian 4, Carver 1: Mike Fiene scored twice for Illiana Christian (11-13-2) in the semifinal.

Chicago Christian 4, Morgan Park Academy 0: Goals by Dylan Marinec, Sean O’Meara, Kaleb DeJager and Getenet Timmermans put Chicago Christian (9-12-2) into the championship.

Girls Volleyball

No. 1 Mother McAuley 25-25, Queen of Peace 13-4: Maddie Meyer posted five kills and five digs for visiting Mother McAuley (20-2) in the GCAC Red.

No. 3 Stagg 25-25, Thornridge 3-7: Morgan Thomas had 28 service points and 11 aces for host Stagg (22-5, 4-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

No. 4 Providence 25-20-25, Carmel 15-25-10: Krista Brakauskas had 21 assists to lead host Providence (20-7, 3-3) in the East Suburban Catholic. The Celtics also received 17 digs from Allie Marthaler and eight kills from Annie Cummings.

No. 5 Sandburg 25-25, No. 7 Lincoln-Way East 22-19: Dakota Hampton’s 10 kills and nine digs lifted host Sandburg (19-8, 4-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Kayla Currier notched nine kills for Lincoln-Way East (20-7, 3-1).

No. 9 Marian Catholic 25-20-25, Fenwick 12-25-21: Amber Clay racked up 17 kills and eight digs for host Marian Catholic (21-6, 6-1) in the East Suburban Catholic. Colleen Rynne added 27 assists for the Spartans.

No. 10 Shepard 25-25, Argo 9-13: Stephanie Korbakes had eight kills and six aces for host Shepard (14-4, 10-0) in the South Suburban Red. Amy Kinney had five kills for Argo (5-15, 1-10).

T.F. South 25-25, Hillcrest 17-11: Abbe Mullen had 18 assists and Cori Reynolds added 12 service points to spark host T.F. South (18-6, 9-3) in the South Suburban Blue.

Rich Central 25-25, Rich South 17-21: Arryen Calhoun (9 service points) and Daivonya High (8 assists) powered host Rich Central (9-14, 6-2) in the Southland.

Bradley 25-24-25, Thornwood 15-26-15: Melva Smith registered nine kills and six digs to pace host Thornwood in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Bremen 25-25, T.F. North 15-21: Maggie Hayes finished with seven kills and 11 digs for host Bremen in the South Suburban Blue.

Oak Forest 25-23-25, Tinley Park 20-25-17: Cassidy Staunton chalked up 12 kills and 12 digs for host Oak Forest (13-14, 4-6) in the South Suburban Blue. Kate Zickus tacked on 21 assists for the Bengals.

Bolingbrook 25-24-25, Homewood-Flossmoor 21-26-17: Kassie Wallace passed out 31 assists and Kaitlyn Shereyk slammed nine kills to lead visiting Homewood-Flossmoor (20-7, 2-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Oak Lawn 25-25, Evergreen Park 13-11: Jessica Cosenza’s 14 assists aided host Oak Lawn (20-4, 10-2) in the South Suburban Red.

Lincoln-Way West 25-25, Thornton 7-6: Mary Kate Gaffney had 10 assists and Therese Schultz chipped in six kills for visiting Lincoln-Way West (17-10, 3-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Illiana Christian 25-25, Ridgewood 14-14: Sydnee Van Beek provided seven kills for visiting Illiana Christian (17-16, 7-5) in the Metro Suburban.

Richards 25-25, Eisenhower 14-15: Megan Albon (5 kills) was among the contributors for host Richards (13-7, 7-4) in the South Suburban Red.

St. Joseph 25-25, Seton 10-18: Awrian Rogers finished with 12 digs for host Seton (5-18, 2-6) in the GCAC White.

Volley for the Cure

Lincoln-Way North 25-25, Andrew 10-13: Valen Manns and Ashley Pickert had five and four kills, respectively, for visiting Lincoln-Way North (17-9, 4-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Nicole Bernardi had four assists for Andrew (6-19, 1-4).

Girls Swimming

Shepard 117, Bremen 45: Wins by Shannon Edwards in the 50-yard freestyle (30.05 seconds) and Rebecca Gleich in the 500 free (6 minutes, 44.01 seconds) propelled visiting Shepard in the South Suburban crossover. Bremen’s Kaitlin Lovrich prevailed in the 100 breaststroke (1:25.07).

Tinley Park 74, Thornton Fractional co-op 20: Sarah Gillespie had the top time in the 200 individual medley (2:49.22) to aid visiting Tinley Park in the South Suburban Blue.

Reavis 117, Richards 59: Sarah Visvardis, Betsy Zuniga, Julie Banks and Sam Castle won first place in the 200 free relay (1:59.48) for host Reavis in the South Suburban Red.

Women’s Volleyball

St. Xavier 25-25-24-15-15, Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) 20-19-26-25-12: Kayla Mullaney totaled 17 kills and 15 digs to pace host St. Xavier (20-5, 10-1) in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Desiree Aramburu added 49 assists and 22 digs for the Cougars.
