Class 3A Andrew Regional
Homewood-Flossmoor 3, Andrew 2 (SO): Homewood-Flossmoor (4-17-3) won the penalty-kick shootout 5-4 in advancing to the championship. Jonathan Brandt scored in overtime and the shootout for the Vikings. Andrew finished 12-7-2.
Lincoln-Way Central 1, Thornton co-op 0: Alvin Landaverde scored for Lincoln-Way Central (9-10-2) in the semifinal.
Class 3A Downers Grove South Regional
Benet 3, Mount Carmel 0: Mount Carmel (6-13-1) was eliminated in the semifinal.
Class 3A Lincoln-Way East Regional
Lincoln-Way East 1, Lincoln-Way North 0 (2 OTs): Sean Sibley’s goal was the difference for Lincoln-Way East (14-2-6) in the semifinal.
Bloom 3, Shepard 0: Cesar Flores scored twice to pace Bloom (19-3-1) in the semifinal.
Class 3A Sandburg Regional
Sandburg 4, Brother Rice 0: Kevin Kroll and Zach Biel netted goals for host Sandburg (14-5-3) in the semifinal. Adam Zehme (4 saves) recorded his 11th shutout. Brother Rice closed at 6-14-2.
Stagg 1, Eisenhower 0 (2 OTs): Panda Papadimitriou scored the winner for Stagg (12-6-2) in the semifinal.
Class 2A Lincoln-Way West Regional
Lincoln-Way West 6, Joliet Catholic 2: Adam Webb had two goals for Lincoln-Way West (13-8-1) in the semifinal. Ian McGrath added three assists for the Warriors.
Peotone 1, Providence 0: Providence (8-12-5) came up short in the semifinal.
Class 2A Marian Catholic Regional
Tinley Park 8, Rich East 1: Keaton Klaff and Bobby Neylon each scored twice for Tinley Park (12-12-1) in the semifinal.
Marian Catholic 5, Rich South 1: Keegan Oldenburg netted a hat trick for Marian Catholic (9-13-3) in the semifinal.
Girls Volleyball
No. 2 Marist 25-25, Carmel 19-21: Mallory Salis totaled 12 kills, nine service points and six digs to help host Marist (23-5, 9-0) capture the East Suburban Catholic title. Taylor Holder added 13 assists, five service points and five digs for the RedHawks.
No. 3 Sandburg 25-25, Joliet West 9-19: Sami Knight recorded 16 assists and five digs to pace host Sandburg (26-8, 6-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.
No. 4 Stagg 25-25, Bradley 16-19: Morgan Thomas provided 11 service points and six aces to lead host Stagg (28-6, 6-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.
No. 5 Lincoln-Way Central 25-25, Homewood-Flossmoor 15-14: Kaitlyn Siadek dished out 19 assists and Morgan Commet chipped in 10 digs for host Lincoln-Way Central (27-7, 5-1) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Kassie Wallace had 13 assists for Homewood-Flossmoor (23-11, 2-4).
Nazareth 25-25-25, No. 6 Providence 27-17-14: Krista Brakauskas finished with 13 service points and eight kills for host Providence (24-10, 4-4). Allie Marthaler added 11 digs for the Celtics in the East Suburban Catholic.
No. 7 Lincoln-Way North 25-25, Thornton 5-8: Michelle Scott had four digs – giving her a school-record 352 for the season – to aid visiting Lincoln-Way North (24-10, 6-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Casey Zimmerman added five kills for the Phoenix.
No. 8 Lockport 25-25, No. 9 Lincoln-Way East 20-23: Kayla Pfeiffer contributed nine kills and eight assists for host Lockport (23-10, 4-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Katie Dugan tacked on 19 digs for the Porters. Kayla Currier had eight kills for Lincoln-Way East (23-11, 3-3).
Andrew 25-25, Thornwood 10-15: Stephanie Aimone and Tara Adams had seven kills apiece for host Andrew (9-23, 3-3) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.
Oak Forest 25-25, Argo 10-17: Kathy Flanagan’s seven kills and five digs propelled visiting Oak Forest (17-17, 6-6) in the South Suburban crossover.
Richards 25-19-25, Bloom 11-25-23: Shannon Gardner slammed 15 kills to power visiting Richards (15-11).
Lincoln-Way West 25-25, Thornridge 4-10: Sarah Wegrzyn (7 kills) and Hannah Chesley (9 digs) sparked host Lincoln-Way West (20-14, 4-3) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.
Beecher 25-25, Illinois Lutheran 21-11: Katie Wilkoz had 24 assists and Heather Buchmeier added 10 kills and eight digs for visiting Beecher (20-8, 11-0) in the River Valley.
Rich Central 25-25, Kankakee 18-21: Daivonya High posted 13 assists and 11 kills to lead visiting Rich Central (11-17, 8-2) in the Southland. Kayla Smith chipped in six kills for the Olympians.
Girls Swimming
Shepard 123, Crete-Monee 46: Wins by Shannen Edwards in the 100-yard backstroke (1 minute, 18.05 seconds) and Joanna Rangel in the 200 individual medley (2:36.45) propelled host Shepard.
Oak Forest 115, Thornton Fractional co-op 58: Sarah Minnich won the 100 butterfly (1:20.71) and 200 freestyle (2:22.53) to lead host Oak Forest in the South Suburban Blue.
Reavis 134, Eisenhower 46: Susu Almousa, Sarah Visvardis, Joanna Kowalkowski and Alex Malmborg won the 200 free relay (1:56.79) for host Reavis in the South Suburban Red.
Men’s Golf
Chicago State Cougar Classic: St. Xavier (611) was fourth in the 10-team meet at Harborside International in Chicago. The Cougars were led by Kirby Brown, who tied for eighth with a two-day stroke total of 149.
Women’s Volleyball
St. Xavier 26-26-25, Robert Morris 24-24-12: Kelly Knudsen’s 13 kills and five blocks lifted host St. Xavier (22-8, 12-1) in the North Division of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Desiree Aramburu added 37 assists for the Cougars.
