Girls Volleyball
Class 4A Eisenhower Regional
Oak Forest 25-25, Eisenhower 19-11: Alissa Tattas had nine kills and 14 digs to lead Oak Forest (19-17) in the quarterfinal. Kate Zickus added 20 assists for the Bengals. Eisenhower finished 9-17.
Richards 25-25, Thornton 15-7: Sara Tobin contributed seven kills and Bridget Ferrin served seven aces in aiding Richards (17-11) in the quarterfinal. Kara Rockey tacked on 14 digs for the Bulldogs.
Class 4A Homewood-Flossmoor Regional
T.F. North 25-26, Thornwood 21-24: Bianca Ruiz provided 17 assists and five service points for host T.F. North (12-20) in the quarterfinal. Tyra Johnson added six kills for the Meteors.
Class 4A Shepard Regional
Andrew 25-25, Rich Central 14-13: Nicole Bernardi dished out 11 assists and Tara Adams posted eight kills to lead Andrew (10-23) in the quarterfinal.
Shepard 25-25, Morgan Park 5-11: Caroline Graham had 18 assists – giving her a school record 529 for the season – in leading Shepard (21-10) to a berth in the semifinal round. Chrystal McAlpin tacked on five kills for the Astros.
Class 3A Hillcrest Regional
Thornridge 25-25, Chicago International/Ellison 12-21: Thornridge prevailed in the quarterfinal.
Class 3A IMSA Regional
Mount Assisi 25-25, Aurora Central Catholic 12-21: Kelly Magliano’s seven kills and four blocks lifted Mount Assisi (13-20) in the quarterfinal.
Class 3A Rich South Regional
Rich East 25-25, Rich South 23-18: Rich East prevailed in the quarterfinal.
