A 6-foot-3 senior middle blocker for the Knights, Amanda Dolan is the team leader in blocks (53) and second on the team in kills (221).
The Lincoln-Way Central student is undecided on where she will go to college.
What team goals do you have for the playoffs?
We’ll start with our first game Tuesday, probably against Lincoln-Way North and then most likely Marist so we’re preparing for good teams. We’ll try and learn from the mistakes we made against Sandburg and hopefully come out strong and ready to win.
What team would you love to face in the state championship match?
There is only one team in all the matches we have played that we wanted to play again, and that was Benet. They really put us down (in a two-set loss), but we would love to face them and crush them again.
Improve your game with a snap of your finger. What would you pick?
Probably passing because I am a middle of course.
Do you like scary movies? Do you have a favorite?
I love scary movies. My favorite one is probably “Insidious.” It’s really scary and it leaves you wondering and thinking.
What is your favorite Halloween candy?
It’s probably Snickers, but it has to be the king size. Everytime.
What is your all-time best Halloween costume?
My coolest one was definitely when I was a gangster banana. It was sometime in grade school, but I had all the jewelry with the rings and chains on and it was great.
What will you remember most about Lincoln-Way Central?
Definitely all the friendships I’ve made with my teammates, the fun bus rides and all the good times we had together.
