Carolyn Yerkes, of Marist, is this week’s Jenny’s Steakhouse/SouthtownStar Girls Volleyball Player of the Week.
Yerkes, a junior libero, had 78 digs, 26 service points, 10 aces and passed 90 serve receive balls for an average of 2.5 as Marist clinched the East Suburban Catholic Conference title and won the Nike Nationals tournament in Phoenix, Ariz.
