Class 1A Harvest Christian Sectional
Morgan Park Academy 25-25, Luther North 12-12: Rachel Sorfleet and Brittany McKnight had seven kills apiece for Morgan Park Academy (22-9) in the semifinal.
Boys Soccer
Class 3A Supersectionals: In other matches, Warren beat St. Charles East 2-1, Naperville Central edged Edwardsville 1-0 and Stevenson topped Glenbrook North 2-0. On Friday, Warren (20-5-1) will play Sandburg at 5 p.m. in the first state semifinal at Lincoln-Way North. Stevenson (19-3-1) takes on Naperville (22-1) at 7 p.m.
Class 2A Supersectionals: Peoria Notre Dame, Wheaton Academy, St. Viator and Urbana posted victories in advancing to the state semifinals Friday at Lincoln-Way North. Peoria Notre Dame beat Washington 4-0, Wheaton Academy topped Lake View 1-0, St. Viator nipped United Township 2-1 and Urbana shut out Marion 2-0. In the semifinals, Peoria Notre Dame (19-2-2) will play Wheaton Academy (21-6) at 11 a.m., while St. Viator (19-3-3) goes up against Urbana ( 19-2) at 1 p.m.
