Carly Katalinic, 17, of Orland Park, is in her third season as a point guard for the Eagles.

The Sandburg basketball player also plays soccer.

How fun is it running the point?

I love it. It’s nice to be in charge of the offense and be able to control the pace of the game.

If you could choose one player from another team to be a teammate, who would it be?

Leah Bolton, of Marist. I’ve played against her since about fifth grade, and I have a lot of respect for her game.

Money is no object. Where do you travel?

Fiji. I’ve seen pictures and it’s really pretty.

Has anyone ever told you that you look like someone famous?

Some people say I look like Jennifer Aniston when she was younger.

Your dream celebrity prom date. Who is it?

Anyone from One Direction. Preferably Liam Payne, but I’m flexible.

If you could be in any cartoon, which one would it be?

Maybe Scooby-Doo. It’d be really fun to solve mysteries.

Your dream car?

A Lamborghini, with flip-up doors.

Which teammate would you trade places with for a day?

Lauren Bauer. She has every athlete’s dream wardrobe.

The team needs two free throws to win. Would you volunteer to shoot?

Yes. I’d have a lot more trouble sitting and watching.

Would you rather go shopping with Lady Gaga or Taylor Swift?

Taylor Swift. I’m a huge Taylor Swift fan.

When you look in the mirror, what does it tell you about yourself?

I’m really happy with what I’ve become in high school, balancing between sports, school and church.

As told to Tony Baranek
