Boys Basketball

Knights/Warriors Winter Classic

No. 6 Lemont 68, Illiana Christian 41: Mike Wisz scored 20 points and Juozas Balciunas added 13 points and six assists to spark Lemont (6-0) in the game at Lincoln-Way West. Jon Zandstra’s 11 points were the most for Illiana Christian (6-4).

Lincoln-Way West 63, Evergreen Park 47: Hayden Witt netted 24 points and Luke Horvath scored 12 to guide Lincoln-Way West (1-4). Turron McClendon paced Evergreen Park (1-4) with 11 points.

Girls Basketball

No. 2 Marist 60, Carmel 41: JeTaun Rouse totaled 25 points and eight rebounds for host Marist (8-0, 1-0). Leah Bolton added 12 points for the RedHawks in the East Suburban Catholic.

Fenwick 88, Providence 47: Fenwick’s Jade Owens had 21 points to sink visiting Providence (4-5) in the East Suburban Catholic opener for both teams.

Boys Bowling

Andrew 2,135, T.F. North 1,982: Nick Ghilardi, of Andrew, led all competitors with a 248 game and 484 series over two games at Castaways Bowl. Javon Brown paced T.F. North with a 428 series.

Girls Bowling

Lockport 1,943, Lincoln-Way North 1,838: Lockport’s Megan Szczepanski had the top game (231) and two-game series (414) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Strike N Spare II. Kayla O’Brien led Lincoln-Way North with a 412 series.
