Girls Basketball

No. 4 Rich South 48, Rich Central 37: Jalyse Chapman led Rich Central (2-10, 0-2) with 11 points. Sisters CiErra and DeAsia Garrett contributed 10 points each for host Rich South (8-1, 2-0) in the Southland.

No. 5 Hillcrest 76, Shepard 31: Dana Gettis poured in 19 points for host Hillcrest (7-1, 3-0) in the South Suburban crossover. Lorielle Little added 12 rebounds and 11 blocked shots for the Hawks. Nichole Chaput had eight points for Shepard (3-7, 0-3).

No. 6 Lincoln-Way East 53, Joliet Central 32: Claire McMahon netted 18 points and Dana O’Grady scored 10 to pace host Lincoln-Way East (5-1, 2-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

No. 7 Lincoln-Way North 40, Bradley 18: Leigh LaRocco totaled nine points to spark host Lincoln-Way North (5-1, 1-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

No. 8 Mother McAuley 69, St. Joseph 48: Alyssa Siwek scored 22 points for visiting Mother McAuley (6-2).

No. 9 Bloom 58, Rich East 27: Katherine Strong scored 13 points and dished out six assists for host Bloom (6-3, 2-0) in the Southland. Bria Gaines chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Blazing Trojans. Ashley Dennis led Rich East with 10 points.

No. 10 Oak Lawn, 60, Oak Forest 45: LaTondra Brooks tossed in 28 points to ignite visiting Oak Lawn (6-1, 3-0) in the South Suburban crossover. Brianna Markusic added 12 points and 15 rebounds for the Spartans.

Crete-Monee 66, Kankakee 25: Marsha Howard finished with 19 points for host Crete-Monee (10-0, 2-0) in the Southland.

Ag. Science 48, TEAM Englewood 33: April Baar and Brittany Nash scored 16 points apiece for host Ag. Science (7-1, 4-1) in the Public League Blue-South.

Lemont 46, Evergreen Park 45: Courtney Toth finished with 17 points and Nicole Krol tacked on 14 to guide visiting Lemont (5-4, 2-1) in the South Suburban crossover. Megan Beckow contributed a team-high 14 points for Evergreen Park (3-6, 1-2).

Homewood-Flossmoor 59, Joliet West 33: Sydni Johnson totaled 13 points and eight rebounds to pace host Homewood-Flossmoor (6-3, 1-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Lockport 44, Sandburg 26: Nora Polaski and Naomi Mayes scored 14 points apiece for host Lockport (4-2, 1-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

T.F. South 45, Reavis 37: Jessica Majors accumulated 17 points and 16 rebounds to guide host T.F. South (2-4, 2-1) in the South Suburban crossover.

T.F. North 56, Richards 49: Devin Luster’s 13 points paced host T.F. North in the South Suburban crossover. Mikayla Smith had 10 points for Richards (4-3, 2-1).

Tinley Park 54, Eisenhower 35: Diamond Beatty posted 13 points and Caitlin Sudduth added 12 points and eight rebounds to propel host Tinley Park (7-4, 2-1) in the South Suburban crossover.

Andrew 60, Thornton 38: Molly Franson’s 19 points spearheaded visiting Andrew (6-1, 1-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

St. Anne 56, Beecher 50: Ashley Carroll tossed in 18 points to guide host Beecher (2-9, 2-1) in the River Valley.

Boys Basketball

No. 10 Hillcrest 68, Shepard 61: Kyle Oden (19 points) and Devin Harrison (18) paced host Hillcrest (5-2, 3-0) in the South Suburban crossover. Jacob Littleton led Shepard (4-3, 1-2) with 16 points.

Perspectives-Calumet 60, Seton 59: Mark Weems contributed 24 points, five rebounds and five assists for Seton (4-4) in South Holland.

Boys Bowling

Oak Lawn 3,130, Shepard 3,034: Ryan Campin (236 game) had a 671 series over three games to pace Oak Lawn in the South Suburban crossover at Palos Lanes. Shepard’s Jack Garetto (568 series) led all competitors with a 254 game.

T.F. North 1,820, Reavis 1,690: T.F. North’s Deante Askew had the top game (215) and two-game series (408) in the South Suburban crossover. Tyler Matlock led Reavis with a 357 series at El-Mar Bowl.

Hillcrest 1,916, Bremen 1,806: Henry Bell rolled a 238 game and 428 series to spark Hillcrest in the South Suburban Blue dual at Oak Forest Bowl.

Andrew 1,945, Lincoln-Way Central 1,872: Nick Ghilardi posted a 246 game and 446 series to power Andrew in the SouthWest Suburban Red meet at Orland Bowl.

Lincoln-Way West 1,985, Lincoln-Way North 1,917: Lincoln-Way West’s Josh Glover rolled games of 238 and 231 in the SouthWest Suburban Red dual at Tinley Park Bowl. Jack Carlson was tops for Lincoln-Way North with a 236 game and 451 series.

Lincoln-Way East 1,925, Bolingbrook 1,900: Josh Jankauskis had a 234 game and 425 series to lead Lincoln-Way East in the SouthWest Suburban Blue dual at Thunder Bowl.

Girls Bowling

Joliet West 1,854, Andrew 1,706: Andrew’s Ashley Sparrey (414 series) led all individuals with a 255 game in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Town & Country Lanes in Joliet.

Bremen 1,754, Evergreen Park 1,690: Juanita Pritchet, of Bremen, contributed a 225 game and 432 series in the South Suburban crossover at Oak Forest Bowl.

Oak Lawn 1,582, Shepard 1,274: Shannon McGuire’s 353 series propelled Oak Lawn in the South Suburban Red meet at Palos Lanes.

Lincoln-Way West 1,738, Sandburg 1,727: Sandburg’s Nicole Powell chalked up the best game (279) and series (482) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Orland Bowl.

Lemont 1,751, Oak Forest 1,311: Kyra Udziela (203 game) and Nora Collins (377 series) spearheaded Lemont in the South Suburban Blue dual at Oak Forest Bowl.

Lincoln-Way East 1,420, Stagg 1,147: Michelle Rybarczyk posted a 326 series to lift Lincoln-Way East in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Thunder Bowl.

T.F. South 1,734, Eisenhower 1,315: Laureen Hart had games of 232 and 219 for T.F. South in the South Suburban crossover at Lynwood Bowl.

Richards 1,674, Tinley Park 1,657: Sara McNeilly, of Richards, notched a 211 game and 405 series in the South Suburban crossover at Centennial Lanes.

Reavis triangular: Ashley Kouba registered a 246 game and 409 series in leading Reavis (1,650) past Hillcrest (1,436) and Southland Prep (978) at El-Mar Bowl.

Wrestling

Argo triangular: Dave Trziak (138 pounds) and Joe Shugarman (152) were among the double winners for Argo, which defeated Lemont 45-32 and Hillcrest 60-13 in the South Suburban meet.

Bremen quadrangular: Matt Gonzalez (126) won three times for Reavis, which edged Bremen 34-33. The Rams also lost to Richards 41-29 and T.F. South 55-18 in the South Suburban meet. Richards was the top team, going 3-0 with additional victories over Bremen 42-21 and T.F. South 33-27.

Shepard quadrangular: Jamari McDonald and Eric Schultz each had three wins for Tinley Park, which bested T.F. North 57-18, Evergreen Park 60-0 and Shepard 38-32 in the South Suburban meet.

Boys Swimming

Lincoln-Way North 101, Lincoln-Way East 82: Jake Pearson won the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 44.48 seconds) and 500 freestyle (4:50.02) in helping host Lincoln-Way North defeat its SouthWest Suburban rival for the first time ever. Lincoln-Way East’s Spencer Smith prevailed in the 50 free (22.83 seconds) and 100 free (50.14).

Lockport triangular: Jake Knowles won the 200 individual medley (2:05.87) in helping Lockport (111) top Andrew (104) and Plainfield co-op (93). Andrew received wins from Rick Osty in the 100 free (51.56) and 100 butterfly (55.21).

Men’s Basketball

South Suburban 93, Kankakee 85: Michael Harris had 42 points and nine rebounds for host South Suburban.

Women’s’ Basketball

St. Xavier 83, Trinity International 74: Suzie Broski finished with a game-high 25 points to lead host St. Xavier (7-1, 7-1) in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Morgan Stuut added 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Cougars.

Moraine Valley 62, Joliet Junior College 59: Kelly Foley and Jamilla Jones each scored 15 points for visiting Moraine Valley.
