Boys Basketball

Arsenal Tech (Ind.) Shootout

No. 1 Morgan Park 67, Lawrence North (Ind.) 58: Lamont Walker netted 18 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to lead Morgan Park (6-0) in Indianapolis. Kyle Davis led the Mustangs with 19 points, while Billy Garrett added 12.

Moraine Valley Shootout

Rich South 69, ACE Tech 26: William Murphy provided 23 points and Demetri Strickland added 15 points and seven rebounds to lift Rich South (5-4).

Richards 59, South Shore 35: Dedrick Shannon Jr. registered 13 points and Josh Meier chipped in 12 to guide Richards (4-4).

Plainfield North Tournament

T.F. North 47, Lincoln-Way North 40: Nick Wood scored 20 points to give T.F. North (9-1) the championship. D.J. Deere added 11 points and five assists for the Meteors. Lincoln-Way North fell to 6-5.

Lockport 48, Plainfield North 33: David Robinson poured in 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to pace Lockport (4-7).

Thornton Shootout

No. 8 Hillcrest 79, Thornton 48: Jovan Mooring finished with 21 points to lead Hillcrest (7-2).

No. 9 Crete-Monee 59, DuSable 40: Marvie Keith (22 points) and Mark Conner (18 points, 11 rebounds) spearheaded Crete-Monee (7-1).

T.F. South 65, Thornton 58: Jalen Austin’s 15 points were the most for T.F. South (5-5). Antonio Woods, of Thornridge (1-7), led all scorers with 21 points.

Non-Tournament

Argo 55, Lisle 44: Treavon Baker racked up 12 points for Argo (3-6) in Summit.

Girls Basketball

No. 6 Lincoln-Way East 60, T.F. South 18: Meaghan McMahon (5 rebounds) and Kara Krolicki scored 13 points apiece for Lincoln-Way East (8-1) in Frankfort.

No. 8 Mother McAuley 40, St. Ignatius 29: Elizabeth Nye chalked up 14 points to guide visiting Mother McAuley (9-2, 2-0) in the GCAC Red.

Benet/Naperville North Tournament

Wheaton-Warrenville South 51, Providence 48: Alyssa Jurges posted a team-best 25 points for Providence (5-8) in the final round of pool play at Benet.

City-Suburban Showcase

Queen of Peace 54, Harlan 44: Hannah Lipman contributed 23 points, eight rebounds and eight assists for Queen of Peace (7-6) at Chicago State.

Oak Lawn Tournament

No. 7 Lincoln-Way North 49, Romeoville 29: Ashley Weringa netted 14 points and Sam Pietruszynski scored 12 to pace Lincoln-Way North (8-1).

Oak Lawn 52, De La Salle 42: Brooke Annerino totaled 25 points and eight assists for Oak Lawn (8-2). Brianna Markusic tacked on 15 points for the Spartans.

Richards 52, Simeon 40: Georgia Danos poured in 20 points and Taylor Sonichsen scored 16 to propel Richards (5-4).

Sandburg 33, Rich East 28: Maria Karstens finished with a team-high nine points for Sandburg (3-6).

Boys Bowling

Lincoln-Way Cup: No team scores were provided for the meet won by Lincoln-Way East at Laraway Lanes. Brandon Nice led the champion Griffins with a six-game score of 1,179

St. Laurence 2,494, Notre Dame 2,274: Mike Rispoli rolled games of 225 and 192 for St. Laurence in the Catholic League dual.

Wrestling

Lake Park Invitational: Lockport accumulated 252 points in besting Schaumburg (175) for top honors in the 16-team field. The champion Porters were led by Brian Rossi (113 pounds) and Austin Strzelczyk (138), who won their respective weight classes in addition to sharing tournament MVP honors. Dan Radcliffe (126), Tyler Johnson (182) and Luis Montoya (195) also won titles for the Porters.

Lincoln-Way Cup: Joey Nelson (126 pounds) and Robbie Mikenis (138) won all three of their matches as host Lincoln-Way Central captured first place by defeating Lincoln-Way North 53-12, Lincoln-Way East 39-27 and Lincoln-Way West 34-22. Kyle Ruettiger (113) and Kyle Rodriguez (132) each went 3-0 for runner-up Lincoln-Way West, which topped Lincoln-Way East 38-25 and Lincoln-Way North 59-15.

St. Patrick quadrangular: Cosmo Halwix (182) recorded two pins as Argo defeated Kelly 56-6 and St. Patrick 30-28.
