Josh Meier, of Richards, is this week’s Beggars Pizza/SouthtownStar Boys Basketball Player of the Week.
Meier, a junior, scored 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds during a 47-44 win over Mt. Vernon; scored 19 points, registered 18 rebounds and four blocks during a 74-62 loss to Belleville West; and totaled nine points and 10 rebounds during a 44-41 loss to Effingham.
