Boys Basketball
No. 4 Brother Rice 57, Bishop McNamara 49: Alex Majewski tossed in 16 points to spearhead visiting Brother Rice (12-2, 4-1) in the Catholic League South. Jim Barista chipped in 14 points for the Crusaders and Quinn Niego scored 11.
No. 10 T.F. North 58, Argo 43: D.J. Deere notched 15 points to spark visiting T.F. North (12-3, 5-0) in the South Suburban crossover. Nick Wood and Greg McClain added 11 points apiece for the Meteors. Tyler Mitchell had 16 points for Argo (6-8, 2-3).
Oak Forest 83, Eisenhower 75: Tom Shute scored 29 points and Tom Zale tacked on 16 in boosting visiting Oak Forest (6-9, 3-2) in the South Suburban crossover. Calviontae Washington provided 15 points for Eisenhower (2-8, 1-4).
Oak Lawn 43, Bremen 40: DeQwon McGowan’s three-pointer as time expired was the difference for host Oak Lawn (5-9, 1-4) in the South Suburban crossover. Shawn Cannon led the Spartans with 10 points and eight rebounds, while McGowan added eight points. Marcus Geralds topped Bremen (6-7, 1-4) with 12 points.
Thornton 89, Lincoln-Way West 59: Rayshoun Bruce chalked up 22 points and Justin Taylor scored 17 to propel host Thornton (6-7, 4-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Lincoln-Way West fell to 1-13, 0-4.
Loyola 50, St. Laurence 36: Jim Schick contributed 12 points and five rebounds for visiting St. Laurence (5-12, 0-5) in the Catholic League North.
Bradley 58, Thornwood 55 (OT): Donte Thomas finished with 21 points for host Thornwood (7-7, 3-1) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.
Girls Basketball
No. 6 Mother McAuley 62, Queen of Peace 37: Lauren Carlson scored 22 points and Elizabeth Nye added 15 to lead host Mother McAuley (12-4, 3-0) in the GCAC Red.
Lemont 44, Richards 28: Jenny Hennig netted 12 points to guide host Lemont (10-6, 4-1) in the South Suburban crossover. Sydni Tears had a team-best nine points for Richards (6-7, 2-3).
Oak Forest 47, Eisenhower 22: Kelly McEathron poured in 15 points for host Oak Forest (8-8, 3-2) in the South Suburban crossover.
T.F. South 42, Illiana Christian 33: Kameron Dickens totaled 18 points to lift visiting T.F. South (5-10).
Wrestling
Bremen triangular: Javier Soto (170 pounds) had two pins in helping Bremen defeat Riverside-Brookfield 54-12 and Rich South 40-28.
