Oswego mega duals: Lincoln-Way East went undefeated, besting Naperville North 36-28, Oswego 37-28 and Streamwood 72-9.
T.F. South quadrangular: Homewood-Flossmoor was the top team, the Vikings defeating Andrew 47-22, Thornwood 61-12 and T.F. South 42-28. T.F. South came in second after beating Thornwood 53-22 and Andrew 33-30. The host Rebels were led by Blake Tisza (138) and Corinthian McBridge (heavyweight), who posted two pins apiece.
Fenwick quadrangular: Providence swept the competition, beating Fenwick 71-10, Plainfield North 54-21 and Joliet West 40-34.
Leyden Invitational: Alec Brown (220) won his weight class in helping Oak Forest (162.50) finish second behind Conant (189.50) in the 13-team field. Danny Swain (106), Patrick Kristin (152) and Jim Kluk (160) were runners-up for the Bengals, who also produced a pair of third-place winners in Francis Edelen (113) and Mousa Jodeh (126). Richards (142) tied for fourth thanks in part to championships from Corey Willett (113) and Deion Carter (152). Kameron Sconiers (170) added a third-place showing for the Bulldogs.
Cheesehead Invitational: Mount Carmel’s Bryce Brill won the crown at 145 pounds in the two-day tournament in Kaukauna, Wis. Jimmy Mickens (182) and David Denne (220) added third-place finishes for the Caravan (283.50), which came in 15th out of 31 teams. Lockport (303.50) was 11th, the Porters producing a third-place winner in Brian Rossi (113) and a fourth-place finisher in Tyler Johnson (182).
Geneva Invitational: Rudy Yates (106) and Paul Balich (132) won their respective weight classes in propelling Brother Rice (99) to an eighth-place finish out of 15 teams. Lincoln-Way North’s Tyler Hill was tops at 195 pounds.
Glenbard West Invitational: Sam Almousa (138) captured the championship in powering Reavis (124.50) to fifth in the eight-team meet. Jesus Vasquez (113) added a second-place showing for the Rams.
Morton (Ill.) Invitational: Austin Rosenfeldt (heavyweight) was runner-up in his weight class in helping Crete-Monee (114) place fifth out of 12 teams.
Sycamore Invitational: Frank Voltattorni (132) finished fourth in directing Marian Catholic (207.50) to 19th place in the 23-team tournament won by Hononegah (679).
No. 1 Morgan Park 81, Normal U-High 51: Billy Garrett accumulated 19 points and six assists to power Morgan Park (15-1) at Brooks. Kyle Davis added 16 points, seven rebounds and six steals for the Mustangs, while Josh Cunningham finished with 11 points and seven rebounds.
Providence 65, Collinsville 64 (OT): Kevin Kozan scored 19 points and Miles Boykin added 12 to lead visiting Providence (10-6).
Muskegon (Mich.) Shootout
Romulus (Mich.) 64, Seton 57: Mark Weems contributed 17 points and six rebounds for Seton (10-8). Alex Foster tacked on 13 points, five rebounds and four blocked shots for the Sting.
Beecher 43, Providence-St. Mel 28: Ashley Carroll had 14 points and 12 rebounds to lead host Beecher. Meghan Jacobson added 10 points for the Ladycats.
Thornwood 48, Eisenhower 34: Aaliyah Wricks scored 12 points and pulled down seven rebounds for host Thornwood (7-6).
Prepcasts Elite Shootout
No. 1 Marian Catholic 54, Rock Bridge (Mo.) 38: Marian Catholic (15-1) defeated the reigning Class 5 Missouri state champion in St. Louis.
Prospect Invitational: Lockport (5,739 series) took third behind Waubonsie Valley (6,353) and Minooka (5,768) in the 36-team meet at Brunswick Zone in Mount Prospect. The Porters were led by Megan Szczepanski, who was fifth with a four-game series of 900. Lemont’s Nora Collins (841) finished eighth.
St. Xavier 95, Holy Cross (Ind.) 77: Brad Karp finished with 24 points and seven rebounds to lift host St. Xavier (14-4, 10-2) in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Jack Krieger added 22 points and five assists for the Cougars, who also received contributions from Anthony Grant (16 points) and Roosevelt Green (11 points, 9 assists).
Triton 77, South Suburban 76: Michael Harris accumulated 30 points and seven rebounds to pace South Suburban, which had its 24-game homecourt winning streak come to an end. Kadeem Thornton added 15 points for the Bulldogs.
St. Xavier 88, Holy Cross (Ind.) 54: Caitlin McMahon scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead host St. Xavier (13-3, 8-3) in the CCAC. Niara Harris added 14 points for the Cougars, while Morgan Stuut had 12 points and 13 rebounds.
