Football: Crete-Monee’s Laquon Treadwell to announce college destination Jan. 17

Crete-Monee wide receiver Laquon Treadwell, the SouthtownStar 2012 Football Player of the Year, will announce his college destination at Crete-Monee High School at 5 p.m. Jan. 17.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound senior has narrowed his choices to Michigan, Michigan State,
Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Mississippi. Treadwell had 75 catches for 1,339 yards and 15 touchdowns to lead the Warriors to an undefeated (14-0) Class 6A state championship.
He doubled as defensive back, registering 43 tackles and five interceptions.
