Boys Basketball

No. 9 Lemont 70, Providence 57: Juozas Balciunas finished with 23 points and eight assists for visiting Lemont (17-2). Kevin Kozan had a team-high 19 points for Providence (10-10).

Oak Forest 76, Lincoln-Way West 53: Tom Shute had 26 points and Kyle Flanagan had 16 to lift visiting Oak Forest (8-12). Hayden Witt had 13 points for West (1-18).

Rich South 53, Bradley 50: Denzel Kimbrough netted 21 points to lead Rich South (8-10) in Richton Park.

T.F. South 59, Rich East 55: Jahmarhe Baker tossed in 14 points to pace host T.F. South (9-9). Brandon Cole and Ron Lawton chalked up 14 points apiece for Rich East (9-5).

Tinley Park 46, Andrew 42: Marcus Stokes rang up 16 points to lead visiting Tinley Park (7-12). Jubril Adekoya paced Andrew (10-7) with 20 points and seven rebounds.

Leyden 65, Argo 50: Dustin Krob had 18 points and his brother, Ryan, added 13 to lead Argo (7-12) in Summit.

Lincoln-Way Central 56, Shepard 40: Brad Bass’ 22 points and 14 rebounds keyed host Lincoln-Way Central (8-10). Devontae Armwood scored 13 points for Shepard (9-8).

Seton 96, Eisenhower 71: Triple-doubles from Mark Weems (17 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists) and Kamal Shasi (11 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists) powered host Seton (14-8). Alex Foster led the Sting with 27 points. Eisenhower fell to 3-12.

Gardner-South Wilmington 71, Beecher 66 (3 OTs): Jake D’Anna provided 22 points for host Beecher (7-11, 4-3) in the River Valley.

Girls Basketball

No. 2 Lincoln-Way East 58, Joliet West 48: Kara Krolicki scored 21 points and Claire McMahon tacked on 15 to spark host Lincoln-Way East (16-3, 8-1) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

No. 4 Mother McAuley 45, Rich Central 30: Alyssa Siwek and Lauren Carlson scored 14 points apiece for Mother McAuley (17-5) in Olympia Fields.

No. 9 Lincoln-Way North 59, Thornwood 49: Valen Manns had 23 points to power host North (18-4, 7-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. The Phoenix also received 14 points and nine rebounds from Ellen Graham.

Morgan Park Academy 40, North Shore Country Day 10: Isabelle Panozzo netted 18 points for host Morgan Park Academy (14-6, 3-3) in the Independent School League.

Lincoln-Way Central 56, Joliet Central 43: Candace Finnin scored 20 points to lead host Lincoln-Way Central (8-12, 3-6) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Kelsie Foster added 16 points for the Knights.

Homewood-Flossmoor 61, Lockport 39: Jaiveonna Norris (16 points) and Sydni Johnson (13) led the way for host Homewood-Flossmoor (13-8, 7-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Naomi Mayes had 15 points for Lockport (8-11, 3-6).

Evergreen Park 51, Eisenhower 34: Megan Pfister totaled 16 points and Megan Beckow tacked on 11 for visiting Evergreen Park (9-11) in the South Suburban Red.

Joliet Catholic 56, Lemont 35: Kim Jerantowski’s 10 points were the most for visiting Lemont (12-10).

Bolingbrook 57, Sandburg 29: Brittney Munoz (9 points) and Carly Katalinic (8) were the top scorers for visiting Sandburg (11-10, 4-5) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Morton 71, Argo 28: Nariman Jaber scored nine points to pace visiting Argo (5-13).

Crete-Monee 56, Oak Forest 34: Marsha Howard’s 13 points led a balanced attack for host Crete-Monee (20-2). Alexia DeBose added 12 points for the Warriors and Ashley Henry scored 11. Maddie Baxa had 17 points for Oak Forest (12-9).

Public League Playoffs

No. 3 Morgan Park 98, Hope 11: Kiara Carter scored 13 points for host Morgan Park (17-2) in the opening round.

Hyde Park 55, Ag. Science 39: Kate Patnett had 10 points and 14 rebounds for visiting Ag. Science (17-4) in the first-round tilt.

Girls Bowling

Evergreen Park 1,663, Eisenhower 1,410: Evergreen Park’s Sarah Klawitter led all competitors with a 236 game and a 440 two-game series in the South Suburban Red dual at Burr Oak Bowl. Jasmine Hampton led Eisenhower with a 175 game and 317 series.

T.F. South 1,852, Oak Forest 1,417: Lauren Hart rolled games of 213 and 202 to lift T.F. South in the South Suburban Blue dual at Oak Forest Bowl. Erica Bergstrom posted a team-high 337 series for Oak Forest.

Lemont 1,850, Richards 1,745: Nora Collins’ 246 game and 436 series propelled Lemont in the South Suburban crossover at Arena Bowl. Sara McNeilly had a 223 game and 424 series for Richards.

Reavis 1,848, Shepard 1,383: Nicole Kanka, of Reavis, had the top game (245) and series (429) in the South Suburban Red meet at El-Mar Bowl.

Bremen 1,766, Hillcrest 1,365: Bremen’s Alexis Jannotta paced the field with a 233 game and 400 series in the South Suburban Blue meet at Oak Forest Bowl.

Tinley Park 1,748, Argo 1,596: Alyssa Spiess notched a 416 series to aid Tinley Park in the South Suburban crossover. Argo’s Kim Sanchez led all bowlers with a 233 game and 423 series at Centennial Lanes.

Boys Swimming

Thornton Fractional co-op 70, Oak Forest 24: Corey Postema won the 50-yard freestyle (26.13 seconds) and 100 backstroke (1 minute, 7.82 seconds) to guide host Thornton Fractional co-op in the South Suburban Blue. Oak Forest’s Tony Zdanavicius won the 500 free (5:39.26).

Shepard 150, Bremen 28: David Ramirez’s win in the 100 backstroke (1:08.63) aided host Shepard in the South Suburban crossover.

Reavis 91, Richards 91: Kevin Tylka, of visiting Reavis, won the 100 free (54.24). Richards’ Chris Abrand posted the fastest time in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.51) in the South Suburban Red.

Tinley Park 92, Lemont 78: Wins by Kevin Hesse in the 100 back (1:00.5) and 200 individual medley (2:20.54) guided visiting Tinley Park in the South Suburban Blue.
