Football: Former Brother Rice coach Tom Mitchell dies

Tom Mitchell, the winningest football coach in Brother Rice High School history, died Tuesday after an apparent heart attack.
He was 72.
Mitchell compiled a 170-95 mark over a 26-year career, including the Class 6A state championship in 1981. He also guided the Crusaders to a second-place finish in 6A in 1985. He retired in 1992.
